[Being able to record herself like this is a novel concept to Hilda, so she's painstakingly gone through the effort to present herself in just the right way. When the video starts, she's carefully seated underneath a tree in what looks like a nice, well manicured garden.
Even through the limited visibility of the sepiatone recording, it's clear that she's started transforming. Her irises take up almost the entirety of her eye, and small black horns have grown a couple of inches on either side of her head. She's draped a delicate chain over the left one in hopes that by decorating them, they'll look less weird.]
Hello, fellow Mirrorbound! Hilda here, with a proposition for you all.
[This pitch has clearly been rehearsed, right down to the wink at the camera.]
From what I've gathered, I'm not the only person here who finds herself in need of a Bond. There are other newbies like me, and people who've lost Bondmates recently.
Not having a Bond is not an option, soooooo I was thinking we should have some sort of social mixer where people without Bonds and people who have Bonds but want more of them can all gather and get to know each other. We could even do quick one-on-one sessions between people where they really get a chance to dig into the important stuff before making any decisions. Or, at least as much important stuff as you can get to in a few minutes.
[Yes, Hilda has just invented Bond Speed Dating.]
I think it'll be fun and productive. We can even invite the happily-Bonded, if they want to just come party and meet people. And, hopefully, this will avoid any witch explosions or feral monster attacks that are bubbling right under the surface.
[She pauses, grinning as winsomely as she can manage, before she gets to the most important part.]
Of course, I'm not putting this together without at least some help. [Ideally, she won't be doing much of the actual work at all.] So if this sounds like something you'd like to work on, please let me know. I'll make sure you're well compensated for your time.

I'd be willing to lend a hand. I could help with finding catering or setting up, or whatever. I guess it depends on what you had in mind?
[Make sure they're well compensated, huh? Apparently Hilda has found some decent employment at this point. That's good to hear.]
video; un: METTATON
[don't think MTT doesn't notice the carefully manicured backdrop and her preened appearance... Of course, there is nothing about him that looks fresh to Aefenglom, what with the rabbit ears and teeth. Teeth, which he confidently flashes in a smile.]
And as one of those happily-Bonded... I'm in full support of this brand of reckless matchmaking!! So what are you thinking, darling? A quick chat over hors d'oeuvres? Lounging under the twilight sky? A timed puzzle with torturous consequences for the poorly paired???
[MTT says all three of these with an easy smile and a gentle tilt to his head. Yes....... puzzle.]
hello person she has definitely not met before :D
I wasn't thinking anything too formal. Basically, just a bonding party.
these two together are going to be a disaster
[Presentation is very important! Thank you, kindred spirit, for getting it.]
As much fun as the timed puzzle sounds, maaaaybe that's a bit much for the first meeting. We don't want to scare attendees off before they even arrive. Let's save that for another time.
[Her tone is just as easy and cheerful as his. It occurs to her, briefly, that she should be horrified by the suggestion. Maybe the Aeternae instincts are kicking in harder than she thought. Oh well.]
I was thinking more 'chatting over food and drink,' myself.
ah yes greetings to you complete stranger :);;;
[Ferran is definitely a proponent of bonding first, evaluating later.]
Should there be some kind of entertainment? Just something to have in the background, maybe.
[The less quiet it is, the more casual it would feel, he thinks, and it would make for a good distraction if conversation ran out. But at the same time, obviously it can't get too loud...]
and i'm HERE for it
That she's not horrified... Mettaton just assumes she's got that knack for charm.]
And what better way to strike up a connection? You'd be surprised at what hints you can pick up in the span of minutes. That's how I picked up my Bond!! However... I'm partial to the introduction of some dramatic tension at these table chats, myself. And if not torture, an icebreaker would do the trick!
[Simply because icebreakers are terrible. Terribleness brings out the... it brings out more in another person, says MTT's logic.]
