[Justine appears on the network with a pristine white scarf circling her throat and a pinky rosy hue brushing the tip of her nose. Her dark eyes are lovely and those who look close enough might see a brilliant dark emerald green circling her iris. Snow falls around her, thick fluffy flurries catching in her dark lashes. Her midnight hair is covered by a matching hat that's been woven with runes that Justine has yet to perfect.

She hadn't expected snow when she'd been feeling the onset of summer only a week or so before.]

Hello. [Her voice is soft and delicately sweet.] I would like to offer handmade scarfs and hats to those who need them. Mitten as well. None-cursed. I promise. [She has already had an awkward moment with an enchanted scarfs.] For purchase or borrowing.

Please let me know if you would like any. I can try and accommodate for claws and hooves as well.

[It's odd but being busy is easy in the magical city.]

No. I mean that there really were vampires and many young people died or vanished that night.

[She'd died if Harry hadn't come back to get her and Susan. Technically speaking... Susan had died.]

[She smiles and then pulls her crotchet back into her lap.]

Stay and warm up, that is if you don't mind watching me work.

[ooc: you cool with fading to black of a nice evening of hanging out?]

[Justine feels an odd knot tighten in her chest at his words.]

I understand. I do not know what's happening while we are here but... I do not think time passes the same or perhaps it does and this changes our futures entirely. [She sounds... uncertain.

Justine turns back towards him and smiles as she finishes belting tools into place and grabbing her short blade.] I wish I could help more.

I'm ready when you are. [She doesn't look like she's wearing enough clothes with her thighs still exposed but Majima can likely sense the thick heady magic that Justine has enchanted into her gear. Traveling with Majima is what she wants and she's been working hard to protect her skills to do just that.]

[ He smiled at her, a fond expression that softened the cast of his otherwise sharp features. ]

I'm good. It's not... somethin' that I need to get back to immediately.

In the meantime, let's go, huh?

[ He caught up Justine's gifts, tucking the scarf carefully away so it wouldn't dangle and get caught once they were in the caverns. ]

I'm looking forward to seein' how good you've gotten with that knife.

Next time, come to my house. It's got a wonderful garden... or will, again, when the snow stops.

[Justine grabs her own hat and scarf, following behind Majima as they head from the house. Her scarf is wrapped around her neck despite the fact that she has other areas of skin exposed.]

I've been practicing. [Maybe enough to impress him.]

What is the goal of going into the caves anyway? Does the coven want something?

Hmm? Apparently, it used to be pretty famous -- something about a connection to dreams and divination and some such.

So maybe we'll even help findin' out something about the weird dreams everyone keeps havin'. That'd be something, huh?

[ His smile broadened a little when she mentioned practice. Nice to know someone who was taking it so seriously. ]

[Do people really just say things like that? That sounds an awful lot like a thing he'd hear as a joke or as part of a convention. Most of the time the magical world seems a lot more secretive where he's from. It makes him pause doubtfully.]

I don't believe in Anne Rice. I believe in a lot of weird things. But from what I understand most of them wouldn't use her as a reference.

[He keeps his tone light and joking. He just can't tell how serious she is about this.]

Well, it depends on the type of vampire really. Those within the Black Court were all but wiped out after the publication of Bram Stoker's book Dracula. The Red Court are a bit different.

[She is being entirely serious.]

[Justine slips her arm around his as they head towards the caverns.]

We have had... many of those dreams. I wonder if that is how this world is connected to all the others.

[ As they approached the cave, one of the first people they'd see would be a stumbling, disoriented witch. "Ugh... that was a poor attempt."

Majima glanced at Justine, then started towards the guy. ]

Justine, how's your healin'?

Mm. We could do that... I've learned a bunch, at the bakery, for things like that.

The type of vampire? So there are types?

[And that doesn't clear things up at all. She's talking about courts like that's a common term and it still sounds like someone perhaps discussing a book series. Which, after mentioning Anne Rice and Bram Stoker, maybe it is? Mentioning death offhandedly like that is kind of goth. Maybe she's the Lydia Deetz type.]

I don't think anyone's ever mentioned that part to me.

I don't mind at all! I'd love to see what you do.

Well, that is how it is in my world.

I have not met a vampire here but I know that they drink blood and are a common species of monster. The Coven has some texts on the monsters. If you wish to learn more. It will likely help better than my awkward attempts at explain.

[Justine is charming but there is a lot that she doesn't understand.]

[She smiles.]

That's good. I would love to learn.

[Her fingers dip into the small pouch at her hip before Majima is able to finish his question. She pulls out a white cloth bandaged with runes sewn into the linen. It isn't the same as using magic but it's more controlled than the healing spells that she knows and has been enchanted to completely stop any bleeding as well as help her identify what is wrong with someone.]

It isn't bad but use this first.

[Justine closes the distance between them and the stranger and rests her palm lightly on the man's shoulder.] Do you mind telling us what happened? [Her voice is kind and warm, causing the man to stammer a little bit.]

Mm. I'd be happy to help you. I-if you wanted.

[He gives her a smile in return, shifting so they're a little bit closer.]

Of course I want too.

[Justine slides next to him and rests her head on his shoulder.]

I like having you around. Even if you aren't baking.

[Paris smiles, snuggling a little closer.] ...I like being around you too.

[ So he did, following her to wrap the man's wounds with the bandage.

"Oh... w-we.. we were attacked by a shade, miss," said the man, looking a little taken aback. "A terrible beast, it was. I suppose we should have waited until there were more of us before we started off with the supplies. Thank you very much." ]

A Shade, huh? What happened to it?

[ "I think it disappeared back into the caves. Some kind of chimera, I think..." ]
