recently my truest friend has been summoned from the mirrors but for now he lacks platonic friends to spend time with. he has been living a solitary life as a king and i do not want him to be alone anymore.

his name is gilgamesh. he is very fond of his treasures and also knows the greatest stories about them. he enjoys wine as well. he is great to spar with and likes to go on adventures. his favorite color is gold. once he introduced me to beer and bread and allowed me to eat and drink everything i wanted.

would people like to become his platonic friend? or another sort of friend? as i know that many sorts of friendships are possible.

let me know if you have questions or want to meet him. he can be a bit fussy at first but please do not let it get to you. he has been alone. for a long time.

i am fairly sure gil will not harm you. if he wanted to he would have done so already. he is a king. kings do as they please.

i am well aware of the way he can act, yet i have grown used to it. but gil can grow, he can learn and become much more than the tyrant he used to be.


i am not sure if the bond between master and servant is platonic, i have always experienced it as something more. the one ensures the existence of the other. when the master is a bad mage a servant cannot exist for long.

but we can be platonic partners, yes.

Can do and want to are two very different things, sometimes.

Well, there's certainly no romance between us, at the very least. I can't remember my first Servant anymore, so I don't know what the right word for our situation is. He is the man to whom I have sacrificed my life, and the one who saved it in turn. Platonic might not fit, but I don't know what could sum it up neatly, really.

It's a little funny, all things considered, but I think you're probably the only person alive or dead that he'd allow to declare that sort of thing towards me so casually.

it is strange how the both of you are in denial about the bond you share. after all, you have been the first one who recognized me.

you just proved to me that your bond is indeed more than that between a master and their servant. apparently we both know that he is possessive of those close to him. of his friends.

i still have to tell him about the others i have met. the person i have a temporarily bond with.

Just because you bond with somebody in life or death conflicts, it doesn't make you friends, necessarily.
