I'm actually weirdly good at teaching myself new languages and I know Latin and Archaic Latin already - a lot of languages use Latin as a starting point, so it's worth a shot?

I'm actually probably being a little unfair. In Derek's defense, he's been through A Lot and I probably wouldn't handle most of it any better than he has, so I can't really fault him for being a little surly. I would be, too.
