This is more aimed towards all those Monsters out there, but I have a question in regards to Bonds and magic. Or maybe questions would be more accurate.

What does it feel like when a Witch casts a spell? Can you feel it across your Bond or sense it at all? Is there some kind of pull or attraction there?

How strong can that become? Or maybe I should ask how sensitive can a Monster become to their Bonded Witch's magic...

Non-human. I used to be able to sense magic in very specific ways, so it'd be interesting if it were possible to do something like that through a Bond. Though it'd be more limited.

I would suggest a temporary bond if you wanted to experiment, but that might not work. The connection might not be strong enough.

I'm not interested in temporary bonds, so hopefully someone will have something to say about it.

I guess it's sort of an intimate thing to ask about, though.

It might depend on how close you are to your Witch, emotionally. And how much you're quieting your Bond to let you live as individuals.

So the intensity depends on the strength of the connection?

That's what I believe. Though, why someone would Bond with another they had a weak connection with is beyond me, so I cannot speak to exact fact.

If the sensation bothers you, then look into ways to shield yourself in how much comes through. It does no harm to the connection itself to be guarded.

That's not the concern that I have. I'm asking because I don't know what the guy I'm bonded to goes through whenever I see fit to use magic

How averse to direct communication people are will never cease to amaze me.

I have already asked. His answers are not sufficient. I can’t identify what would be considered normal and abnormal.

What I need is more data from more sources.

Why should it matter what these other sources tell you? He's your Bonded, his answers should be sufficient in these circumstances. He's the only one that's going to be feeling these things.

This just sounds like you don't like his answer.

IT'S BEEN A FEW MONTHS... BUT I REMEMBER ENOUGH.

YES, I COULD SENSE HER CASTING SPELLS. SOMETIMES A DIFFERENT SORT OF FEELING, IN OUR BOND. LIKE THE FAUCET OF HER MAGIC FLOW TURNED DOWN A HAIR... SINCE HER MAGIC WAS DIVERTED.

MOSTLY THE FEELINGS OF ANTICIPATIONS. ESPECIALLY IF SHE WAS NEARBY. BUT... I COULDN'T TELL -WHAT- SHE WAS CASTING. NOT UNTIL IT WAS DONE.

[ Actually, far from the truth on that. Vanitas is asking due to one of his Bondmates acting strangely every time a spell is cast. He just has no basis for comparison to know how strange it is. ]

i'm more aware of him when he uses it. it's like the bond gets stronger for a moment, and then there's this sudden release.

sometimes i feel pulled to his side if i'm not, even if he's just practicing. i've left behind more unfinished drinks that way.

Being unable to finish a drink aside, you'd say this pull to be there is strong? Does it happen often?

That's a matter of perspective. The kind of magical experience I'd talk about with my family and the kind I'd talk about with Whoever The Fuck aren't the same, you know? It probably depends on how they feel about it and what they consider personal or meaningful.

If you mean fucking, sure, I don't think anyone thought you were asking do monsters get horny when you do a spell.

yeah

there's a chance that it's not all the bond's doing. i don't know why he's casting a spell if i'm not there with him, and i usually don't take the time to sense if there's anything else - like pain or something emotional happening. lan zhan's too good at hiding that anyway. so i also want to be there.

[ The personality component is to be expected, yes. Some people are just more prone to seeing what's going on and why there is a need for something. That's... Not really what this is in this case. Still good to keep in mind. ]

So what you're saying is that you are a bit of a worrier.
