[ If there's a working network around here, it would be a stupid mistake to not use it. And while he's not above just reading the backlog, he can't find some information he's actually looking for

time to act clueless on the network, apparently ]

so, i'm here to add to the pile of the "dumb shit newbies ask"

they really just let us loose on the city, huh? while i don't mind being left to my own devices, that whole looming threat of going fucking crazy— that's an unfun part about it

how did this bonding work out for you guys, when you first got here?

been wondering— everyone is talking about the importance of capital 'B' bonding, but how about that tempbond potion? aside for the price obviously. are there any downsides for prolonged use? something to watch out for? limit with how many people you can drink that with?

if there are any parties where we meet, drink a round of shots or two, and then drink these temp potions to get through the moons and all the feral shit— just sign me in. if there are none, then consider it a suggestion

Bonding with the same kind as you just worsens your own condition. Better find a witch before the full moons. Trying more than three bonds at max may knock you out until the additional bonds are broken or turn you feral.

There's also the old-fashioned option of sex.

It's possible to share magical energy during sex. Of course the requirement is the same as for bonding- one monster and one witch. Orgy doesn't count.

-unless you have several witches you can mooch off from.

Not really. It's simply one of the options to stave off the worst and buy yourself some more time.

The longer you stay without the actual bond the harder is to stay sane, not only during the moons. It's harder to differentiate friend from foe.

There's no real alternative. Temporary remedies help you stay sane until you find someone you can trust enough to form a bond.

Three to four months. Usually your temper starts going haywire by then and you're going to be irritated and snappish. The more prone to violence you are the harder is to keep your reactions in check.

Someday whe we'll meet, then.

No, there are just as many. While it does pose some danger, since monsters need to 'feed' on energy from time to time, and witches have to get rid of the excess of it, such bonds are as much popular.

Sharing specific traits, for example immunity to substances or elements. Unfortunately it also shares weaknesses as well.

Monster, a dragon.

You're welcome. Feel free to ask if you have more question.

By the way, I think the longest without a bond is six months.

Aside the bonding potions there are various concoctions to stave off the worst effects for both witches and monsters. Coven and its affiliated apothecaries is the safest source. Any other may be risky, because witches blood is addictive for monsters.
