[ If there's a working network around here, it would be a stupid mistake to not use it. And while he's not above just reading the backlog, he can't find some information he's actually looking for
time to act clueless on the network, apparently ]
so, i'm here to add to the pile of the "dumb shit newbies ask"
they really just let us loose on the city, huh? while i don't mind being left to my own devices, that whole looming threat of going fucking crazy— that's an unfun part about it
how did this bonding work out for you guys, when you first got here?
been wondering— everyone is talking about the importance of capital 'B' bonding, but how about that tempbond potion? aside for the price obviously. are there any downsides for prolonged use? something to watch out for? limit with how many people you can drink that with?
if there are any parties where we meet, drink a round of shots or two, and then drink these temp potions to get through the moons and all the feral shit— just sign me in. if there are none, then consider it a suggestion

[fauns fuckin' love parties ok even if he, personally, isn't a huge fan. its a weird time.]
anyway the downside is you gotta pay for em and drink them every day
upside of bonding is that its done and dealt with
when i bonded i just asked one of the first guys i talked to once i got here. he was a witch, so i suggested bonding so we didnt have to deal with the crazy or exploding thing. its worked out pretty well. still bonded like a year later.

anyway— so you literally just grabbed someone you barely knew and went at it? gotta say that's a ballsy move. great it worked out for you in the end

yeah. it aint been that big of a deal. not like we're married or anything. and the whole feeling-sharing thing isn't too intrusive, but he might just be repressed as fuck.
[And. Shinjiro is repressed as fuck also.]
i dunno how deep they went into it but its all about witches burning off their magic and monsters eating it. i dunno how much one temp a month would help. guess itd be like getting one meal a week. yeah your eating but your still gonna starve to death.
dunno much about the witch side of it though
no subject
those i talked with put way more emphasis on the feeling side of things. finding your soulmate, sharing dreams and all that stuff
anyway, how about two monsters or two witches working? i know it's a possibility but that sounds like a starving option too
no subject
i think people can get away with it but i dunno. two witches is more of a problem i think because they just keep building up magic. but they can like get familiars and just constantly cast and burn it off or something.
apparently last month one witch just straight up exploded after not bonding for a while. gf said it was pretty brutal when she saw it

So yeah noting that all down until he fixates on the last paragraph, honest on it like a goddamn hawk ]
no shit, seriously? so it's not just a cautionary tale— was the witch a local or mrrbnd? is your gf okay?
no subject
yeah shes alright. takes more than that to really get to her.
no subject
but that makes me wonder, how often do locals go feral, or explode. morbid curiosity or fascination with statistics, take your pick
[ it is morbid curiosity ]
no subject
i aint heard of one happening but a lot of them dont seem to build up magic. theres a lotta natives who aint witches or monsters but all of us are one or the other.
no subject
has anyone tried to break them, see what happens then?
[ Because that's a completely logical thing to do ]
