[ There is a woman on screen who you might think at first glance would be a monster, in that she's green-skinned and has tusks jutting out from her bottom jaw. But no, in fact she is a witch! She's just a half-orc. You learn something new every day.

In any case, it takes her a minute to figure out how to hold the watch to get the best shot of her face in the frame-- not too close, not too far away, angled evenly so you're not forced to stare up into her nostrils. This sort of technology is new to her, so please be patient. ]

Hi! My name's Tsutha. I'm new here. I wanted to thank everybody who's been so nice to me so far. It's weird to be here without any of my friends from home, but hopefully I can make new friends with you guys. Looking forward to it!

Anyway, I wanted to ask if there's anyone out there who's good at enchanting items? All my stuff that was magical back home stopped being magical when I got here. And, while I don't really need all of it to be re-enchanted, it would be nice if my bag of holding would actually... hold stuff.

I don't have much money from this world yet, but I have a bunch of gold from home I could give you. Gold's still gotta be worth something, right? Anyway, let me know if you can help! Thanks!

[ Yona is quick to reply, recognizing that face on her device and a warm smile curling across her lips as she answers the call. ]

And I know a little enchanting? What exactly are you looking to get done?

You have a bag that doesn't hold anything? How's that work, got a big hole in it?

Hello, Tsutha. I hope you feel welcome here. It can be an adjustment at first. But I am sure everyone here will gladly do what we can to help you with making friends. My name is Lan Xichen, originally of Gusu. Would you mind if I saw your bag? It does sound familiar to me.

[ She goes so far as to wave to the camera, clearly excited to see a familiar face. ]

Yeah... I woke up from the dream then fell through a mirror and ended up at the Looking-Glass House!

I'm mainly just trying to get my bag to hold as much as it's supposed to. Which is normally a lot, but right now it can only hold... well... a bag-sized amount of items.

[ You see, the problem with these watches is that sometimes people like to write instead of talk. And when you're illiterate, like Tsutha is, that can be a hassle and a half. Luckily, she's figured out the text to speech functions by now and can get the watch to read the message aloud for her. ]

Nah, no holes. It still holds some stuff, just not as much as it's supposed to.

Hi Lan Xichen! [ Ooh, he seems really polite and formal. Maybe she should be more polite and formal, too? ] My name is Tsutha Stoneblood. I am originally of... a cave. Near Tarl, on Shartis. [ But those names probably mean as much to Lan Xichen as Gusu means to Tsutha.

She holds up the bag so the camera can see. It's nowhere near as fancy as a qiankun pouch; just a smallish tan leather pouch about big enough to fit a decent sized melon. Of course, it normally holds much, much more than that. ]

Here's my bag! It ran out of all its magic. It was really annoying. I hadn't even been out of the mirror for a whole six seconds before everything spilled out of the bag all across the floor!

[ Meanwhile, Lan Xichen is feeling particularly proud of himself for being informal. He has struggled through trying to explain his introductions enough that he has worked out a shorter, and in his mind, more friendly version of his usual introduction. So when Tsutha takes to it, he thinks he must have been very successful!

He has no idea what Tarl or Shartis are, but those are questions he can ask in the future. Look at these friend making skills. ]

It seems that coming here diminishes the abilities we used to have at home. Those with any sort of spiritual power find their development broken down and scattered, unfortunately. It requires us to re-establish our foundations using the magic of this world.

I could attempt to build an enchantment. There are similar items where I am from.

[ It really isn't the area of magic he's been focusing on, but it's also a good learning opportunity. ]

[ If the mega-polite rich boy and the raised-in-a-cave, barely-knows-what-money-is-for dumb girl can find a happy medium, then so can you! ]

Yeah, I already figured out I'm going to have to relearn all my spells from scratch. I was able to get one or two of the basic ones down so far, though. Hopefully regaining the rest of them won't be too hard.

[ It hasn't yet occurred to her that she will be able to branch out and learn types of magic she never would have been able to learn back home, as a Wild Magic sorcerer. She's basically become a wizard with unlimited potential, but she's not quite bright enough to see that yet. ]

Really? That would be great. I would try to do it myself, but like I said, I just got here so my magic's not really good enough yet. And I don't really know how enchanting items works anyway.

[ At first, Tsutha thinks her watch might be broken, when she can't see Sieg's face. But then she figures out how to turn her own camera off and respond just in voice, too. ]

I'm looking for a way to make the inside of my bag bigger than the outside of it, so it can hold more stuff. Is that something you know how to do?

[It's just a little weird for him to see people in the watches. That's all.]

Hmm... I think that's possible, but that's above what I can do easily. I haven't had much practice doing that.

I know how to enchant things I make...And my boss enchants things on request but you need to know what you want the item to do first.

[Because Mikasa had no idea what a bag of holding was. Those words meant nothing to her. Weren't all bags meant to hold?]

Mm... Well, if you don't want to try it then I'm sure I can find someone else who knows how. City's half full of witches, right? Somebody's bound to know how to make a bag of holding.

I need it to hold my stuff.

[ Tsutha... It's a bag. That's what bags do. ]

I mean... a lot of stuff. Even though the bag's not very big. It needs to hold more than it looks like it should hold.

[Having been here for just over 3 months, he's gotten to the point where people who look that different from what he's used to isn't really a shock anymore. It's become easy to tell the difference between Monsters and people who weren't human to start with and people who might be sick in the way he is unfortunately used to.]

I've been practicing some spells to channel magic into weapons lately. Are you a Witch or a Monster?

Augh, why's everybody got to do the thing with the letters?! Hold on...

[ Someone showed her how to make the written words be read aloud on her watch. She fumbles with it to open the settings, the video cutting off as she does. Soon enough she figures it out, and is able to dictate a reply.

I'm a witch. I don't really need enchanted weapons, I use magic to fight. but if you can make my bag bigger on the inside, that would help.

I can change it to sound or video if you want.

[But he doesn't change it until she says she'd like to. He doesn't mind audio, but the video is still a little weird for him.]

I am too. I fight with weapons and with magic both, and I always have when I had to. Is that what the Bag of Holding is? Bigger on the inside than the outside? I've never done it, but it sounds useful.

I don't know what that word means. video. I know it's a word because my watch knows how to write it, but I've never heard it before.

but anyway, letters is fine. I'm talking to my watch and it's writing everything down for me.

[ Isn't technology amazing? If only Walter could see her now... ]

the only thing I have that's close to a weapon is my staff, and that's just because it's a big heavy stick that I could hit someone with. I don't actually use it like that. and yeah, that's what a bag of holding is for. it's really helpful, when you have to travel with a lot of stuff.

Yeah. Lots of witches. I'm sure somebody specializes in that kind of magic. Something like that must get a lot of demand.

[ Ahhh.

He WOULD switch to video but... now he can hear his comments being read out to this person in a funny voice.

That's fun. May as well milk it a little. ]

[ Exactly like that. And enjoy your knock off Microsoft Sam voice while you can, Crowley. Tsutha is poking at her watch, trying to find the voice to text option so she can dictate her responses instead. ]

Yeah. That's the whole point of a bag of holding. That it holds more than it looks like it should.

Oh, wait, here we go!

Right? Pretty much every adventurer where I'm from who's worth their salt has one. I can't imagine it's much different here.

[ Almost disappointing! The little dictation voice was fun. ]
