[ When the video comes on, Louis comes into view. He looks pretty much as he typically would - except for one thing. He's in a giant hoodie and his antlers are absolutely gone. He isn't burying himself in the hoodie, not yet at least. He does seem to be a little tired. In the background, is clearly visible is a petal wolf, who has taken residence on his bed, mostly asleep. Though he may look up when Louis talks and stare into the camera from behind him. ]

Happy very belated New Year to everyone. Here's to... well, hopefully less disasters and chaos.

I hope everyone had fun at the masquerade. If you have any suggestions for next year, you know where to find me. If I'm going to continue one-upping the last one, it's better to get started early, right?

[ Okay - so maybe it is too early. He doesn't sound serious, at least. ]

I actually have legitimate business, though.

I need a bond. It's only been a couple months since I've had one, but I would rather deal with it sooner versus later. I am a Witch, and am only seeking out Monsters. I'm not super particular. I feel like I'm one in a dozen asking about this lately. Figured I'd throw my metaphorical hat into the ring.

[ Except that he is. ]

Other than that, if anyone is looking for a pet-friendly home, I have...three rooms available in this house. And a very strange basement that still has some weird stuff in it. I don't mind if you eat other animals, either. Just as long the pets go unharmed.

Two months isn't very long, you know. I was bonded over a year to two monsters. When a Bond ends, it's strange for a little bit. It took some adjusting.

I also have familiars.

It seems like a long time when it comes to your mental stability.

How many bonds are you looking for?

If it goes on too long, yeah. My current state is not to be blamed on my lack of bonds.

I only need one, so I'm only looking for one right now. If more than that happen, then they do.

Hm... my favorite holiday? I haven't been through very many of them, but the idea of Valentine's is nice. Being able to show appreciation for people you care about is wonderful.

[A cat answers. He stares at the camera silently, unblinkingly, for a few long moments before lifting a paw to briefly clean behind one ear.

When he speaks, it's in a mewling, hissing, undeniably cat-like voice. It's probably best not to think too hard about just how he speaks.]

Valentine's Day is the romantic holiday, isn't it? I don't - obviously - celebrate it.

In time, yes. I do have animals I can bond with as familiars.

It's better to have more, but I don't even have one so let's start there.

So is it a housemate or a bond?

The former. I haven't found a need for a permanent residence, but I'm starting to resent the weather.

[Mogget isn't a cat, though he does look enough like one to get away with sleeping on people's beds when he fancies it. Unfortunately, given the current weather, people aren't leaving their windows open as often.]

Well, you are welcome to stay here. I do have an actual cat who lives here, but he'll leave you be since he likes to do his own thing.

[He pauses before he speaks again, as if the word isn't one he uses often, but he recognises that it should be said at this point.]

Absolutely not. I don't really like formal sorts of things for this.

Good. I've heard some people say they're like weddings, and that's... Gross.

Is it? I thought it was somewhat similar to Christmas. With the gift giving, at least.

Uh - yeah, that's definitely not the plan. I'm big time not into things like that. Good to hear you aren't, too.

Bonds have been nothing like that with me. They're simply smart to have.

That's what I thought, but there are so many people here going without them for months... Or even longer than months.

[Not intentionally trying to throw shade this time. He crosses his arms, one ear flicking up and down.]

I'd like to do it at night. Or in the evening.

Christmas is the December one, right? I thought it was more of a general celebration.

[ The idea of a religious holiday is pretty much foreign to him outside of superstitious celebrations. ]

I mean, I guess you give gifts on both, don't you? I don't celebrate either at home, so everything I've learned I learned here.

As long as they don't level part of the city, I'm inclined to let them deal with it on their own if they don't want to bond. Personally, I find it very useful and I value my own life.

Evenings are fine. Something short and straightforward in the evening.

It's the easiest way to keep from destroying the city or losing yourself.

[Gosh!!! Why don't people get that!! Who cares about all the emotional stuff and all of that, remaining sane is much more important.]
