( This almost feels awkward to ask, but she can't put this off anymore. The more time goes on, the weaker she feels -the less in control she is of herself. She isn't sure who she can ask at this point - all of her bondmates have left, and there may be a chance that they won't return. )

This may be a little strange to ask here, but....

I was wondering - was there anyone in need of a bond?

( She knows that it's better to be careful when it comes to seeking out someone to bond with - but right now, it doesn't feel like she has a choice. )

Forgive me if this is a delicate subject. I'm given to understand a Bond is important both personally and for one's continued well-being. Yet I have seen many posts upon this network of late where Mirrorbound reach out much as you are.

Are the resources one can turn to for such an important necessity becoming dangerously thin?

Depends. This for a witch or a monster?

No. But... now that you ask that, I can't help but think that there should be.

It's important to share a connection with the person you're bonded with, but... it's dangerous to be left without one.

It is true there is much importance placed on the Bond. And I imagine many hope to aid or find their companions in this new world. I was fortunate to find a colleague of mine who was free and willing when I arrived.

I have heard tell of practical arrangements. But even then, there needs to be an element of trust when one is twining one's soul with another.

There seems no easy solution, though perhaps time and effort will procure an acceptable alternative. Barring an actual return to the place we belong.

It sounds as though we were both fortunate. When I had first arrived, my best friend did too. We were bonded with one another, but... he's gone now.

I know that bonds can be different from one another - some bonds can be stronger than others, but then... some feel like they have no effect on other at all.

There really is no way to tell.

Still, I can't help but think that your idea is something that would be a good idea to look into. We have to prevent others from getting hurt.

It is true. And there is little time for many already, it seems. I shall be searching for a solution. It is cruelty to demand two individual souls be forced to bond in order to maintain their sanity and life.

Though I cannot provide an immediate answer to your original request, I hope you will keep in touch. In particular should any clues to an alternative solution come to your attention. Mayhap we can even meet one day soon and speak more upon this matter.

We've been bonded for a little close to a year so and I think it's getting weaker is all.

[ That and he doesn't feel like he's been very good to Saori. ]

I have bonds with Sora and Roxas, yeah.

[He's a little surprised he's offering it himself, but leaping into things without thinking was his style.]

I was originally planning on saving my third for Kohaku if she ever shows up, but I probably shouldn't be banking on something that might never happen. I'd rather help somebody out.

I understand. When Ven was here, I wanted to wait for Terra to arrive. There's still a chance that your friend could arrive here, too. That's why I can't ask you to take on a bond with me.

I didn't know that bonds here could grow more weak. The friends I were bonded to before-- our friendships only grew stronger.

Still, is this something you really want? We don't know each other.

So? Isn't that the point of a bond? Meet others, be friends, work together and all that. That's how my bond and I started. We didn't know each other and here we are a year or so later, occasionally being a pain in each others respective backsides, but still sticking it out.

... Your right. I hadn't thought of it like that, but... getting to know one another through a bond may not be a bad thing, either. Still, sometimes bonds can be emotionally burdening to a witch. Knowing that, is it a risk you're willing to take?

Living is a risk, a constant one. What matters is how close to the edge you live. Though I don't think making a bond is exactly like stepping into harm's way.

But to answer your question, yes, I'm pretty sure.

[He could understand where she's coming from. There is still that part of him that wants to wait, no matter how unrealistic it might be.]

Take all the time you need, Aqua. The offer will stay open as long as I'm still here so no rush. I know forming a bond isn't a particularly easy decision, especially with someone who's practically a stranger.
