Close range, huh? I used to use swords myself, although I can't anymore.
[It didn't turn out to well for Ferran, either, but that had little to do with any fighting skills.]
I'm sure you can improve if you put your mind to it. I might I might know of someone who can teach you, if you decide on swords.
