[There's a... goat (?) monster on the network, who has a problem. There's a large ring of fur, an impressive yellow mane around his neck.]

I'm growing fur around my neck! How do I make it stop?! Why is this happening?!

[And he grabs his tail, which is a long, white lion's tail.]

And my tail grew! I mean, it kind of looks cooler now. B-but! It shouldn't be growing at all!

Shaving, generally works but if other parts of you are changing then, congratulations, you're turning into a monster.

By that I mean you're becoming like some of the locals here. You know, the whole Witches and Monsters jam they got going here just in case you didn't know. I'm sure it's freaky but, you'll be alright.

It looks like a lion's tail. Are you becoming a lion? That fur around your neck would be a mane.

Well, you are now becoming more fearsome. Lions are cool. Big cats. King of the jungle and all that jazz. Besides it's not like you're in pain right?

Lions aren't monsters. They're animals. It means you're turning into a monster that has lion features.

I'm afraid it's not something you can stop. To be honest, fur growth is probably one of the milder changes that can happen. Though it looks like you're picking up some lion traits.

If you're having these changes, it means you're a monster in this world as well. Hm...though if you're already a monster and you're getting monster changes, would that make you a chimera like me?

All the lions I've ever seen are monsters. I've never seen a non-monster lion before... But I've lived in a cave all my life with other monsters, so that's why.

Well there you go. All the more reason not to worry, and hell yeah lions are cool. They've got massive claws and teeth, and have that big roar, and can kill a man in seconds. Not that I encourage you to do that. Just, you know, good to know kind of thing just in case.

Just trim it back with some hair clippers, blend in with the rest of you. The mane, that is. Probably keep growing though. Can't do anything about the tail, stuck with that.

Buuut I guess since you're a different species, I wouldn't know any better. Maybe you're becoming a lion Turnskin. Which is funny, because you look like a goat? Maybe. Wonder if you'll develop the compulsion to eat yourself between your instincts as a prey animal and a predator!

Apparently something about the process of coming to this world makes it so you have to... fit in, or something. To the kinds of magic and species that exist here. Maybe you confused the mirror somehow. [ he laughs, though not in a mean way. ]

My friend-- my Bonded, I guess I'd say now? [ wow. ] He ended up growing cow legs but he wasn't a cow at all back home. Not the same situation, I know, but even if you were one thing back home you're probably something else now.

Chimeras are unique because we take on various traits of animals. I don't know about here, but back home for me, one of the first chimera was a lion with a goat's head sticking from its back and a snake for a tail. You know what hang on a second.

[She swaps from voice to video and smiles, flashing her fox ears and crocodile teeth.]

You see? I got some fox traits, but also some from a crocodile.

Hmm...If I had to guess you could be a lion turnskin or a chimera but we won't know for sure until there's more changes.
