[There is no further text response; either Viren's answer was satisfactory, or it's simply not worth further addressing over the network - either way, no disruptions on getting to the shop.

As Viren enters, there is a lengthy, deathly-still pause from the other dragon, who might be assumed to be contending with some territorial instinct or other.. but nope, it's just the sudden realization that the very dragon who had told him about the underground city was in fact the self-same one who had bothered him when he'd first arrived. The only visible sign of any change of mood is the brief slap of swaddled tail against the floor, a dull, muffled sound but nothing else.

And then one talon points - there's a comfortable enough looking seat nearby, which might be a bit awkward with wings but otherwise tolerable.]

Your device.

[The same hand turns, palm-up. He has talons too, long and curved, each tipped with the gleam of what looks to be metal. They too are handy tools.]

My question- [Apparently it had not been let go; though his tone is neutral, there is a stress here and there.] -had been towards the pursuit of: if you use electricity often, or tend to as a merrow might, swim often; or tamper with fire, or throw sudden sub-arctic temperatures about. Likewise a vampire would not be able to tolerate silver components, and similar know-how would be required for a witch's favored spells. All require adjustments to the choice of components. Mine own by necessity is resistant to sudden shocks.

[It's.. an explanation, at least, and his careful lack of hostility and deliberate admittance of his own elemental bias might keep it from being too annoying. Maybe.]
