[ Light isn't sure exactly what he expects. It isn't news to L, who's always known him to be the man behind the murders. There's no shock, but he doesn't expect any sort of surprise. Likewise, if L wanted revenge, he would have taken it. The confession doesn't really change anything material, but it feels like something should happen.

Admittedly, Light always expected L to know for sure, and only beyond any real kind of doubt, as he won. This is... not a victory, not for Light. ]

I don't plan on keeping it small.
