The Network: May, Arrivals from Distant Lands

The Watches

Everyone who arrives in an unorthodox way and eventually shows up at the Coven for 'orientation', will receive a strange, watch-like device compliments of the Coven and Parliament. Miss Nessie or one of the welcome wagon crew will give characters a run-down of how to use the various functions and they are encouraged to test them out for themselves. It would be good for them to get in touch with their fellow Mirrorbound, of course!

Fourth wall characters will not be able to make their own posts in the communities, so they may use this post to make "network posts" of their own by top-leveling. The log post is right over here.

Fourth Wall characters can comment on posts made by others in both [community profile] aefenglom and [community profile] middaeg until June 1st. Current players: Please specify in your posts if you do NOT want fourth wall characters replying!

[ as he suspected... things continue to not make a lot of sense according to his understanding of the world. how does anyone live here not consumed by the stress of nothing being logical? ]

I see.

Somehow even though I seem to be turning into some sort of living fire myself, it still sounds bizarre that a machine should have to drink blood, of all things. Are you also required to eat as a human does before becoming this vampire creature as well?

Then again, even these devices are not as straightforward as they should be because of the "magic" angle. I am beginning to think "magic" is just a term they substitute to avoid saying they have no idea how anything really works while still seeming knowledgeable.

[that's what HE'S saying!!]

Thankfully no, given that I wasn't built with a digestive system. [He doesn't want to think about digging a bunch of gunk out of his body... or spontaneously growing one? The human blood was risky enough. He's good, thanks.] Blood seems to have sufficed thus far.

Given its seemingly unpredictable nature, that wouldn't be surprising. I've been having some trouble understanding it, myself.
