[Connor looks decidedly irritable as he turns on the video, but not because of anything anyone else has done... he just doesn't understand how he was here one moment, gone for what felt like a minute, and then he was back and months had passed. Hank is gone, and he has to figure out who is still here. He also needs to see who has his animals, because he'll be damned if he's letting them go like that.]

I'm looking for anyone I know. Or who knows me... I'll admit, my memory seems to be somewhat faulty after my trips through the mirror.

[Another reason to be unhappy.]

I'm also looking for my animals, if anyone I know has them.

As for the people who I'm unfamiliar with- please feel free to introduce yourselves. I always welcome potential friends.

No. I need to see what exactly has changed, and go from there.

[Months... it feels like a blow to the gut every time he hears it.]

I've admittedly mostly been focusing on my house for now.

[If only because once he's out there investigating, he wants somewhere familiar to come back to that doesn't remind him of the time he's lost.]

[A pause. L has a way of sounding discouraging, even when he's not trying to.]

Your home is a good place to start. Were you able to secure the same one?

[He doesn't answer what he's been doing, at least not for now. He's always been a private man.]

[It isn't lost on him that L isn't answering all of his questions, but he can't be bothered to chase them up right now. If L wants to be shady, let him... there are other things Connor can catch up with.

Not to mention, other people he can ask.]

Yes, thankfully. The pool looked quite sorry for itself and so did the house itself, but I've worked on the pool first and am now focusing on the living room.

[He needs the pool above all else, so that he doesn't dry out. Sure there's water in other places, but the pool is where he considers to be safe. It's full of trinkets, reminders of Justine and the SQUIP and others who have long since left.]
