[Justine appears on the network with a pristine white scarf circling her throat and a pinky rosy hue brushing the tip of her nose. Her dark eyes are lovely and those who look close enough might see a brilliant dark emerald green circling her iris. Snow falls around her, thick fluffy flurries catching in her dark lashes. Her midnight hair is covered by a matching hat that's been woven with runes that Justine has yet to perfect.

She hadn't expected snow when she'd been feeling the onset of summer only a week or so before.]

Hello. [Her voice is soft and delicately sweet.] I would like to offer handmade scarfs and hats to those who need them. Mitten as well. None-cursed. I promise. [She has already had an awkward moment with an enchanted scarfs.] For purchase or borrowing.

Please let me know if you would like any. I can try and accommodate for claws and hooves as well.

[Justine gently brushes her finger against the bandage releasing the healing rune that had been enchanted into the cloth days before. She watches the fabric take on a soft glow and then the relaxing of the man's features as the affects seep into his injuries.]

We'll take care of it. You should return to the coven and make sure you don't have any other injuries.

[She doesn't know if they can actually hurt the creature but this man needs to get back to the Coven and be looked over. He might have other injuries that he's not aware of.]

[ Imagine that. Justine had a light touch, and a knack for healing magic.

The man nodded, then handed her a spare spell scroll. "If you need help, please use this..."

So, there they were. Majima could see signs of a scuffle deeper into the caverns. Couldn't very well leave a creature that powerful alone to just attack people, right? ]

Let's stick close for this one, Justine.

[She takes the spell scroll with a warm smile and then turns back to Majima. This is a little bit of a daunting task but she's determined to show him what she can do now.]

We will. I'm ready.

[Justine will stay near him and protect him.]

[ So it was. He headed into the cave with Justine, following the winding tunnels and the odd splotch of blood -- telltale signs that the Shade was close by. ]

I think I hear it.

[ he said quietly. The slightly labored sound of someone breathing wet, slightly ragged. It was coming from the bend just ahead. The temperature of the cavern was on the decline, too, as if something was sucking ambient heat from the air. ]

[Justine's dark gaze flicks between Majima and the path in front of them. The blood makes her tense, her stomach twisting in uncomfortable knots as the air around them thickens with suspense.

She lowers her voice and whispers close to Majima's ear.] Me too.

[She shivers, her palm gently grabbing Majima's arm.]

What's our plan?

[This seems like a situation where they should have a plan.]

[ His voice was low, urgent. ]

Let me distract it. I'm used to havin' things out for my blood. Ya know any good attack spells?

[ They probably should have discussed this earlier, but... honestly? When it came to a fight, it wasn't about what anyone said -- only whether one could think on their feet. ]

A few but they'll hit you too.

[She pauses and then goes.]

Wait. I have one. I need you to put this on it if you can. [She hands him a small flat disk.] It will work best if you can embed that into its skin. Then I can burn it from the inside out.

[She has other things she can do but this is the best plan she can come up with on such short notice. Justine is usually very good at forming plans.]

[ He gave her a quick smile as the shade broke towards them: white-and-black feathered, screeching in a way that set his ears to ringing. Perhaps he didn't know exactly what the disk did, but he could trust in Justine.

Majima gestured with one hand and sent a bolt of electricity toward the birdlike creature, striking its left wing with the smell of sizzling feathers. Predictably, it was coming straight for him; both its talons and beak looked nasty, indeed. ]

Kinda appropriate that it's a giant chicken.

[Justine waits until she sees the disk embedded within the creature. When she's sure, she activates the spell she'd shaped in her thoughts.

It curls inward and as Majima engauges the monster, he might notice that it's movements slow and it's face contorts in pain as it burns from the inside out.]
