Hey everybody, this is- uh, this is Hiccup. [That nasally voice sounds bright today, but like he's not entirely used to talking over these watches. It still feels like he's chatting to an inanimate object somehow, even though he knows other people will be able to hear this, because he hasn't used it much up to this date.] I think I'm starting to get used to being here, sort of. It's been an adjustment. And, you know, everything seems fine a lot of the time, but I'm sure we've all figured out from those dreams by now that- that this world is dangerous, too.

So, uh, I wanted to make an offer. I'm a blacksmith back home, and I finally finished setting up my forge. It's- you know, it's not fancy, but it's good enough to start working in. If anybody wants to bring scrap metal by, I'd be happy to make things out of it for you, no charge. Well, no charge unless I have to buy other materials. Weapons, armor, household objects, just about anything. I know a few things about leatherworking and general construction, too, and I can fireproof anything you'd like, but I have to charge for that because of what it involves.

And, hey, if any other smiths or crafters want to come by and borrow the space, that's great too.

My forge is right next to Keith's and my house just past the slums, barely into the woods, we call it Wilder's Edge- or, I call it Wilder's Edge, he wanted to just call it "Keith's and Hiccup's shack in the woods" but that's way too long to put on a map- [Can you hear the excessive hand gesturing in this speech?] -but anyway! If you don't want to come out this far by yourself, I can pick you up from the city, it's not a problem!

Are you offering an extra pair of hands? [He laughs.] I don't need help with my own projects, per se, but I'll never turn down company. Are you a smith too?

Thank you, that's what I said. He just went on about 'why do we have to name it anyway?'- [Said in his best, good-natured, goofy Keith impression.] and I said, so you can reference it on a map or in conversation and people will know where you're talking about.

More than that. If you let me use your space, I'm sure I can pay you back with something new.

I'm an engineer. Ish. I have a company- well, I'm starting a company. To make clean energy vehicles for the public. If you're making armor, maybe I can help. I like your sword trick. Much better than magic.

[ Tony, no. ]

Everything needs a name! Who wants to repeat "the third house on the street across from the harbor" all the time? Besides, if you're staying there, you might as well make it feel like yours. He just needs to try it out more.

You don't have to pay me back. I'm not providing materials to anybody so it's not costing me anything to let other people use my equipment. [If he builds up enough of a stash of scrap metal though, he might just provide materials for free in the future. Right now he's just sharing space.

'Clean energy vehicles' make 0 sense to him since Aefenglom doesn't really have cars, but he's pleased to hear Tony likes his sword.] Is an engineer like an inventor? Is that what you want to do here, make... clean energy vehicles?

[He laughs.] He's coming around to it. Actually, I don't think it makes much difference to him. I think it's a good name for the place, though.

Well, it's still your space. You made it.

[ It only makes sense to him to pay for the convenience. And he'll probably search for extra scrap whether Hiccup asks for it or not. It won't hurt to help him start his collection of extra materials. ]

You could call me an inventor too, yeah. I don't know if anyone would want cars in this place, but I'd like to make some things to help combat the infection. There has to be a way to keep us all safe.

Maybe he can name the next place. If you encourage him enough, he'll get the hang of it.

Pay me in company and somebody to bounce ideas off of. [He's not taking no for an answer here. It is his space and he's not going to pay to let other like minds use it. The more advancements they can make in weapons and armor against the Cwyld, the better, he feels.]

That's what I want to do too. Help keep people safe. Armor and weapons is just- what I know, you know? I'm learning enchantments, too, but that's much slower going than just regular smithing.

[Hiccup, please! He's a businessman and he wants to make sure everyone is properly compensated. But he knows he's not winning this one. At the moment, anyway.]

All right. If you insist... If you ever want someone to hold things, I'll be around. I have a little bit of input to offer for armor, too. It's much easier than magic.

[Can he please have technology back?]

I'd like that! With the Cwyld and everything, I think armor could be important, especially for anybody who plans to leave the walls. [He sounds a little excited about the idea of company, someone to talk to about armor ideas.] And maybe we can work on some of the magic stuff together. Two heads, right?

[Tony hears the excitement and "leave the walls" and he knows immediately that this is going to happen. Not only that, but if Hiccup is as interested as he is in developing proper armor, they might just have a chance of creating something he can use again. Wouldn't that be nice?]

Magic armor? You know, I'd normally say it couldn't be done, but with more of us working on it we just might be able to pull that off. And maybe we can get that sword of yours an upgrade too.

Why couldn't it be done? It seems like just about anything can be done with magic if you just figure it out first! It may be, you know, trial and error, but- but I think we could come up with something-
