As far as asking questions... Hopefully, to some passing fae or merrow or whatnot who sees this post and helpfully replies. Failing that, to seeing a monster on the street do something fantastic and asking them.]

I EVEN KNOW A TALKING FLOWER.
MONSTERS ARE MADE WITH ALL SORTS OF THINGS.

I MEAN, THERE'S LOADS OF PEOPLE WHO DON'T HAVE PERMANENT BONDS.
HUMANS FROM THIS WORLD WHO BARELY HAD ANY MAGIC, AND GAVE IT UP SOMEHOW...
BUT ALL THE MIRRORBOUND SEEM TOO POWERFUL FOR THAT.
WE'RE A REALLY BIASED GROUP.
[Before his little accident - in which he was lucky not to get caught and hauled to the Coven - he asked around about it, and learned - that's part of why things are still tense between humans and monsters. Bonds between witch and monster to mutual benefit are a fairly new thing, and they're still figuring out how to make life safer for witches and monsters alike.
Not that learning about all that helped him personally, as a monster, anyway.]
BUT YEAH! MUST BE!
I'M SO USED TO MONSTERS THAT THAT STUFF'S HARDLY THROWING ME AT ALL...
GIVING ME MORE ATTENTION TO SPARE FOR THE REALLY STRANGE STUFF.
LIKE, WHY AREN'T MONTHS BASED ON FULL MOONS??
IF FULL MOONS ARE SO CONSISTENT AND SO IMPORTANT, COULDN'T PEOPLE BASE TIME OFF THAT??
I THOUGHT ASTRONOMY WAS SUPPOSED TO BE COOL LIKE CLOCKWORK, AND STARS ARE PRETTY ENOUGH, BUT IT'S A MESS.
