[ The video comes on and Louis is front and center. He got a grasp on the technology pretty quickly. He's... annoyed, and he's not good at hiding it, either. His tone is just as annoyed. Like. He can't believe he has to go over this. ]

Locals mostly think I'm some guy who's been here awhile. So it's not just you guys. So, everyone can be relieved that even experienced people can make this mistake.

huh if we all come from different worlds or whatever you'd think thered be more where humans arent the main species. [surprisingly deep and he's not going to pursue that thought at all because it's way too big to bother tackling.] at least you dont gotta worry about clothes or whatever. saw a shop that was selling like jewelry for antlers and horns too.

huh i thought it was like dogs and horses back home. their legs are all backwards.

yeah, apparently. i guess we'll see what happens. seems like it's just a big mystery what you turn into until you start growing new parts.

nevermind dont worry about it. you're pretty obviously different than the animals we got back home.

yeah that festival had a lot of monsters out and about and it was kinda wild. most've the antlers and horns werent as huge as yours though i think.

Probably not. But...to be fair, I'm an actual deer, not a human or otherwise human-like person growing them. Turning into a monster is a real change for people.

i mean yeah. can't say i'm looking forward to it but there aint a whole lot i can do to stop it from happening apparently.

yeah i mostly just watch and listen in. aint really sat down and talked to anyone from here.

not yet. i still feel the same i guess? friend of mine from back home thinks he's gonna be a vampire, since he's starting to crave bloody meat and shit but who knows. maybe im gonna win out and just be a normal ass human.

either way, from the way everyone talks, seems like I'll start finding out around the full moon.

From personal experience bloody meat is absolutely disgusting and not a normal craving, so he's probably a vampire.

I mean, it's not the worst option. But maybe you'll be something cool.

yeah but you're a deer so you might be kinda biased. back home he wasnt so into it though he would eat basically anything so yeah this is a pretty big change for him.

guess we'll find out. i'll let you know if i sprout anything neat i guess. as is, i'm starting to think aside from the schoolwork the witches kinda win out here.

I'm super biased. But that's a pretty solid difference so it's probably a really good hint to what he is.

Yeah. Definitely let me know. I'm pretty curious and honestly would be pretty concerned myself if I Started to grow anything extra on my head or something.

I mean, there's not too many downsides, and I don't mind schoolwork so it's a bonus there, too.

Itll probably be weird when it starts but right now it still doesnt feel real I guess. And its not like I can do anything about it so I guess i'll just have to deal.

Yeah, I'm learning there's not a thing we can do except deal with things as they happen. Gonna have to improvise, I guess.

Yeah. I like a lot of the stuff that I've tried, but I like Divination, which is like...where you can get information. Or Evocation where you can use fireballs. I guess I'll see what I end up doing well at, though.

do you guys have any myths like that back home? animals turning into other animals on the full moon or whatever? its a pretty common human one i think.

divination sounds kinda bullshit. i mean kinda negates the idea of free will dont you think? and what do you need fireballs for? i mean they sounds cool and all but dont singe your fur.

Not really. And I don't really know that there's an audience for fiction like that at home, either. I mean, we have stories and myths - with magic and superheroes and stuff.

Fireballs don't singe my fur, Shinjiro. It's magical fire. And I've never had something like this to fight for myself before. I've always relied on others to do the fighting for me, except for some things that are significantly less useful against anything that isn't an animal with a tail.

yeah makes sense. humans love that kinda story i guess. theres a whole lotta ancient myths that basically boil down to the head god turns into an animal and bangs a lady.

ok i can kinda get that. maybe learn how to conjure up some knives too that could be cool.

That would be pretty cool. I'll give it a try. And yeah, I could learn how to fight. What I know isn't much good against anything on all fours or without tails.

sure. I ain't like a trained fighter or anything but I can hold my own in a fight. I don't mind lettin' you practice or showing you some stuff.

[ At least without a weapon. Humans, it seems like, were more similar to him since they seemed to lack the fangs and claws. So...they would be effective to learn from. ]
