alright so i think i got the day-to-day thing down. [he says as though he has a job or is a productive member of society at all-] and now I got some questions for people who've been here longer than me.

magic people: what's up with the witch thing? i saw they do classes, do you guys just go study magic all day? what kinda magic are you doing.

monster people: so what bullshit have you been turning into so far? i'm hoping i get something cool and don't end up like that poor asshole with no legs last week.

Yeah, studying magic is pretty much what we do. There's a wide variety of different classes. I've been focusing a lot on healing and enchantment stuff lately.

so what sort of thing can you actually do so far

Aha, I'm alright with it. Thought I was done with school, but not much I can do about it.

Let's see....I can heal minor injuries, water spells, light spells, heat and cold resistance enchantments, short range teleportation, create soundproof barriers ... other things too, but those have been getting my focus.

pretty wide variety. so basically you can do anything with magic? seems pretty crazy to think about it that way. what do you use the teleportation for?

Sure, if I wanted to be useless next time something dangerous happened, I could do that.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy how much there is. And I was trying to use teleportation so I wouldn't have to walk everywhere...but it turns out it takes more energy than just walking does.

yeah i was thinking that. like walking ain't that bad and i figure magics gotta use some kinda energy. or do you use it to get on top of buildings or through walls or whatever?

I don't care about being a hero, I just don't want to be a statistic either. And not so much in the city walls, but outside the walls is pretty dangerous. And who knows how long the wall will last.

Not through walls, I have to see where I'm going. I haven't tried on top of buildings yet though.

not a bad point of view there. so the healing helps people in danger but how's the enchantment help? i aint saying its bad i just dont really understand the magic yet.

guess that makes sense so you dont end up inside a desk or something. and hopping roofs could be fun.

Haha, it's fine. Enchantment helps me do different helpful spells. Like my bonded is a dragon, so I've been working on heat resistant enchantments so he doesn't set me on fire by accident.

Yeah! It'd be a lot easier than climbing up things. I should give it a try. Thanks for the idea!

what does he sneeze fire? the heat resistance is definitely a plus for that i guess.

no worries. and yeah, my first week here a girl i met wanted to jump around on buildings. climbing up thertte's not too bad, but it takes a sec.

Oh, it's not an every day thing if you're both in the city. I don't even live with my Bond. You gotta stick closer if you go outside the Wall though, but normally we see each other...maybe a couple times a week?

she said she knew a couple people here. yeah, she's pretty cool. hopped outta the sky and gave me lunch when i met her.

Aha, yeah I think it depends on the person. It feels good to be near my Bond, but it's not like it hurts when I'm away from him. And that's true. Monsters can go feral, and witches can explode.

Yeah, that's right. If you have someone you trust here, I'd really recommend getting a Bond to be safe.

Yeah, you got some time to think about it. It's a decision you shouldn't wait too long on, but it shouldn't be a rushed decision either.

Before then. I've been here about 2 1/2 months.

Well yeah, it's not a marriage. But your bond can pick up on all your emotions.

not sure i know enough here to ask. i guess if there's any good way to get some cash because it seems like no one i live with can feed their damn selves and the markets gonna get pricey after a while is all makoto'll eat is meat.

Yeah, pretty much. Try to find someone you're compatible with. It'll make things easier.

He only eats meat and won't feed himself? That's tough. [Even his friends aren't that extreme]If you have any skills you can make a specialized job out of, that'll pay better than the stuff you find on the board. I'm a musician, so I make a good amount of money giving lessons and performing.
