[Steven appears on camera, looking nervous but determined, like he's just stumbled upon something that he feels the need to tell everyone right now. So, here he is! Steven is very obviously a fae, complete with antennae and slightly too large, pink irises. Behind him, wings will occasionally flutter with agitation.]

Hey guys, Steven here! So - I told Nessie and Mhairi about that whole... dream... thing... we just had...

And it turns out neither of them had any idea that Dorchacht was doing things like that?? Nessie made it sound like their leader, Morgana, just seemed kind of racist at Coven meetings... not that they were enslaving an entire city's worth of monsters?

So... I think this is going to be a pretty big deal. They said they were going to get in contact with the Parliament about it, to see what they could do next. It didn't sound like they were okay with just letting them keep doing those things so, um... phew!

Aaaanyway... I thought you might want to know. I know I've been thinking about it a lot. Haha.

[He signs off, awkwardly.]

[OOC: This isn't massively relevant to this post, but Steven is currently wearing earrings that are charmed to tell him what the truth is when someone knowingly lies to him. So, if your character does that in the post, the earrings will probably tell him. Magic~!]

[This is all pretty serious, and as the one to bring it up, more than one person has asked Steven a similar question to this. He already knows the answer, as worrying as it is to contemplate.]

...Yeah. But I'd want to make sure that any monsters we brought with us were protected against those control spells.

[ He nods, serious as well, but maintaining his calm. Souji is just as worried about the monsters that would go - because it's obvious a lot would go - so it's something to consider. ]

It's a smart thing to worry about. I don't know what sort of magic would be useful for that... abjuration, maybe? [ Contemplative. ] It's the class for dispelling magic, and creates barriers. Maybe combining that somehow with an enchantment would work.

I think... abjuration was something the witches in Dorchacht were really good at, too. Maybe if they can use Bonds to control people, we could use them to protect people? Like, maybe the people we are Bonded with could keep the magic from controlling us.

That'd actually be a good theory to test out, I think. But we'd have to find Monster/Witch Bonded that would be willing to test it, or at least as best as we can. Otherwise we won't know just how it might react when faced with the real thing.

I wouldn't want to risk someone's safety on just a theory.

Me neither. I don't know how we'd practice without knowing how they did the spell, though...

I'll talk to Toby about it - she's my Bonded. If she's willing to try then I am, too!

Maybe there's some kind of close charm... They had runes, too, but it's not enough I don't think - there's definitely more going on there, otherwise anybody'd be able to do it.

Definitely let me know what happens. My Bonded and I are both Witches, so it wouldn't be as effective, but. If we can spread the knowledge, even if it's a rough version, then it'll help someone.
