[Steven appears on camera, looking nervous but determined, like he's just stumbled upon something that he feels the need to tell everyone right now. So, here he is! Steven is very obviously a fae, complete with antennae and slightly too large, pink irises. Behind him, wings will occasionally flutter with agitation.]

Hey guys, Steven here! So - I told Nessie and Mhairi about that whole... dream... thing... we just had...

And it turns out neither of them had any idea that Dorchacht was doing things like that?? Nessie made it sound like their leader, Morgana, just seemed kind of racist at Coven meetings... not that they were enslaving an entire city's worth of monsters?

So... I think this is going to be a pretty big deal. They said they were going to get in contact with the Parliament about it, to see what they could do next. It didn't sound like they were okay with just letting them keep doing those things so, um... phew!

Aaaanyway... I thought you might want to know. I know I've been thinking about it a lot. Haha.

[He signs off, awkwardly.]

[OOC: This isn't massively relevant to this post, but Steven is currently wearing earrings that are charmed to tell him what the truth is when someone knowingly lies to him. So, if your character does that in the post, the earrings will probably tell him. Magic~!]

[Steven has been waiting around uncertainly because he was assuming there would be some clarification about location, so when Eren shows up at his door, he's relieved that this is actually doing.]

[He holds open the door for him to enter.]

[There's a big acid burn on the wall in the entry way, with some cloth awkwardly pinned over it.]

[ you see, kid . . . this is why he worries and his heart twists a little. kids don’t deserve this. no one does, in retrospect, but you know how things go. eren enters and— yeah, holes! that’s the first thing anyone would see. ]

The project is... trying to make the wall look the way it did before it had a hole in it! Peridot found out she could spit acid during the full moon and... yeah.

[ time to inspect this better, actually, lifting the cloth up, letting his tongue flick just over the eroded part of the hole, and instinctively jerks his head back when the taste hits his nose. nasty ass dragon acid.

Peridot said she was going to fix it... but I guess we're all pretty distracted.

Anyway! What's up with you! You sounded like... something was going on?

[ he can understand distracted. ]

A lot of things. [ not just for him, he supposes, shoulders shrugging and falling heavily. ] I’m going to talk to some people.

[He mirrors the question uncertainly, mostly because he feels like Eren must know something he isn't telling. He just sounded to skeptical of the Coven's intentions, and he really wants to know why.]

[ he has a few names in mind, but— steven, if only you were a little older. and not so reliant on the good side of love. ]

Half of the Parliament doesn’t see us as their problem. The higher ups are just as, [ what’s the word, ] racist as Morgana, and The Coven is playing stupid. It’s almost like someone was waiting for us to sound an alarm, and we did.

[That could be in response to a lot of things, but Steven sounds genuinely caught off guard. It's disappointing, in a word.]

[He trails off, uncertainly.]

Who knows how far they’d go. [ but— he shrugs, lightly, and shifts his hands into his front poncho pockets. ] That’s what I meant earlier.

[ aef ain’t no good guy, sadly, and eren is all too familiar with the switcheroo. ]

[In the days to come, this will turn out to be a pattern. Steven looks crestfallen. That also includes Peridot.]

How can they be so afraid of them? There's hardly any of them left! They don't even have a home anymore!

Because they’re the most powerful monsters on the continent. [ said easily, with fact in his words rather than heart. ] And they aren’t wrong, are they?

[ mister i’m going to kidnap people and create a massive illusion party that no other monster can create ]

[HEY THAT WAS PRIVATE, unless Lex told him, in which case, shit. Either way, Steven seems to withdraw defensively at that, though he can't fully deny it.]

To a degree, but a witch is a witch. Fae can still see through them. [ so any but!!!s simply fall silent when it comes to comparisons. there are none. ]

They don’t correlate. These people’ve lived for hundreds of years like this, it won’t be now that they’ll accept something different and change. Even less from outsiders.

[It comes out like a grumble, but it's a genuine feeling he has. Maybe there is no reason for them to be here, maybe this is all a mistake, but some part of him would find comfort in there actually being a purpose to this.]

The only one’s who’ll find out are the one’s that keep moving forward.
