I know some of both though less about the vampires here. What are you trying to do?

But you know of them?

[ that is what's being inferred from her answer. the information he'd managed to gather during his visits to the university library was spartan at best, and while the wilders had offered some useful information during the most recent training session, it would be a lie to say that it was close to complete.

perhaps he would have to consider seeking out vampires, themselves. though that was easier said than done. even the monsters seemed to treat vampires with unease. ]

I suppose I should ask, what is it that you are trying to learn of them?

Everything.

We do not have them where I'm from.

Well the vampires here are different from the ones in my world.

They are much more akin to the vampires from stories. They drink blood and are masterful hunters.

Some say they are fueled and at times controled by their need to feed.

That is nothing I don't already know.

How do they differ from the vampires of your world?

There are different courts of vampires in my world. The red court is similar to the ones here but they are monsters that wear human looking masks. Beneath they are black sinewy creatures. The white court on the other hand are more human and feed off of physic energy instead of blood. This is either done through pleasure or fear.

[ ㅡokay, so that is definitely new. the white court, in particular, pricks at him. a recollection of combing through the old empire's archives and finding mentions, here and there, of the old sith and their horrifying natures.

And their weaknesses?

It depends. The Red Court dislike sunlight and if you drain them of blood they are weakened. The White Court of very similar to humans. If you can get close to them. They do heal faster but chopping off their heads work. As it does with most things.

Is there someone you want to kill?

[warfares]

No.

I have more information. A book of spells and potions that will work but I do not know if I should give them to you.

I have been working on enchanting clothing and learning more ruins, mostly for protection though.

[warfares]

And are they difficult to learn?

[mislike]

The ruins can be. It depends on how well you can recall what things mean. Enchanting things just feels like another spell.

What about more complex charms?

[mislike]

It depends on how well you master charms.

What do you intend to do?

A form of protection charm that would be sustainable in the long-term.

I found ruins seem to be stronger, though writing ruins in everything you own does not seem ideal.

It would not be in everything I own.
Ideally it would only be one thing, small enough to escape notice.

Would you want to put a ruin on it?

[warfares]

That is the intention.

[ but he needs to research first: materials, spells. the rune idea had come to him after that first visit to the dream cave, after seeing the runes left behind, still active.

it had coalesced into something more concrete during wilder training, where he'd been informed that there were plenty of alternatives, all of them expensive. many impractical. and he'd seen plenty of examples of the sort of thing he hopes to create, things fashioned in various shapes and sizes, but the vendors had been tight-lipped and he hadn't pressed. ]

Have you done any ruinic magic, yet? I would start with simple protection runes and work from there. I did some simple ones when we were in Dorachacht, if you need my help.

[More hiding places from magic, but it helped that she had access to their libraries and had already been studying some of the runes for several weeks now. Protection runes seemed the smartest way to go for what she wanted.]
