[A good-looking gentleman's face appears, and while it's a relatively placid and almost cheerful expression that he makes, the incredibly observant might deduce that he's a bit worn thin. Still, onward to business.]
Good afternoon, fellow residents. A few notes, as I've recently been out of commission, much to the polite concern of several of you. I'll try to be as brief as possible. For those of you who don't know me, I am Ignis Scientia, a Witch by assignment, a chamberlain by trade, and a chef by choice.
First, on the matter of the current political and social climate, and a delicate subject. I'm interested in hearing about others' experiences with the natives of Aefenglom. The city seems ill at ease, and while I believe that can be alleviated with time and patience, it's essential to document what's happening in the here and now. Those of you who have Monster traits are of particular interest to me, and your anecdotal information will help me paint a clearer picture of the state of things for our hosts. I plan to address them directly when the envoys return from Dorchacht.
Second, a personal request: I'm feeling rusty on some of my combat skills, despite my best efforts. If you're a weapon-wielding sort and want some good, vigorous training time with a skilled combatant, I'll gladly ask you to join me. If anyone has recommendations for a sturdy and affordable polearm, I'm looking for one.
And lastly, the Witches' Study Group will resume thrice-weekly meetings when all parties return from Dorchacht. I'll be sure to make another announcement then, but as I've been informed there were new arrivals, I thought it prudent to remind those who are here.
I wish you all a pleasant remainder of your day.
[Business done! Ignis offers a slight smile before ending the broadcast.]

As for what's going on...
[She sighed.]
It seems there's more out there in the ways of getting along then Bonding. It's the first I've heard of it-and no one is going into detail yet-but it seems there's other ways then what the Coven promotes.
[Her expression is polite but. She's annoyed.]
Which no one told me about until this current situation.
Video;
[But on to more serious matters.]
I'll be on the lookout for more information about that, then. Thank you for the insight. You'll find me the first to admit the bonds aren't ideal.
Video;
[But more seriously:]
They aren't ideal, no. But I don't know why we didn't know until now. I don't like the idea of suppressed facts.
Video;
[Cheeky, isn't he?]
Likewise. I don't regret the ones I've taken on in any way, but if there's a better method, I'd rather do that. Especially if it's more efficient.
Video;
[So is she!]
I don't regret you either. But I dislike the idea of having information concealed from us-especially if that meant less pressure for those slow to trust.

Sadly, we're making very poor progress over here, too. I'll give the details when we're back, but most of us just feel a bit frustrated and useless.

There's some kind of spell at work in this dark city, something that keeps any memory, any mention of events prior to Morgana's coming into power away from the minds of its people, human and monster alike.
video;
Things with Dorchacht are still pretty damn delicate at the moment and I think it's making our witches and the coven act really on edge. Sometimes I wonder if they're being clear with us on everything...
As for being a monster, I guess I'm just glad we're not treated like cattle in Aefenglom.
video;
No, I've long suspected they're telling us only a small fraction of the truth, but I had no evidence and little option besides following their lead, at first. Now... I've decided to channel my skills in negotiation and my political savvy into something useful. In other words, I think I might be able to help. Well, pending the outcome of the expedition.

[How did two cities so vastly different end up like this? He wants to know.]
no subject
[This is all weirder than he could have imagined, on levels, and he comes from a world where political and social intrigue is the norm.]
At any rate, it's a plan forming as information trickles in. I wouldn't rush into anything now.

[Talking like this... Angeal would probably be pretty proud of him. When war is on people's lips he's more used to jumping in and making a change and acting fast but in this case, he's with the others on this one.]
Voice Private
I am glad things are getting easier or... I hope they are.
[She doesn't sound all that certain. Justine has lost some of her previous luster.]
I'd like to help if I can. I do not know the current status of Dorchacht, as I didn't attend, but I have seen some vandalism at my home.
Voice Private
[She doesn't sound great though.]
Do you mind if I ask what the vandalism entailed?
Voice Private
[She isn't at her best, a lot has been happening lately and its wearing on her.]
I don't know all of it. I have left my house and been staying elsewhere. Since then there has been people marking some of the outside walls. I don't know who.
Voice Private
[It's been a rough time for everyone.]
I wonder if someone might put together a patrol. Granted, half of the off-world populace is elsewhere right now, or so it seems.
Voice Private
[Which she can't really do forever.]
I think a patrol might be a good idea. I know that my neighbor is here and doesn't require sleep. I think that's something he'd enjoy doing. [Connor has this weird constant desire to help people.]

The people seem unnerved. Perhaps due to the recent contact with Dorchacht.
Which weapons do you favor?
text;
Twin daggers, at the moment, though I dearly miss my polearm.

The relationship between Witches and Monsters has been strange long before we arrived.
[ the question is then whether or not the dream has shown them a potential future, something they hope to bring about for themselves, or if it's simply a matter of rising frustrations leading to them lashing out. ]
Which would you prefer to work on?
no subject
The polearm, for the moment, but without having one in my possession I'm completely fine with the daggers. I've learned to imbue them with elemental magic, so it's a bit fun, too.
[Even if he feels bad talking about fun at a time like this.]

Depending on the weapon, I might be able to help.
