I understand that there are new people that are among us. To that, I must say: welcome.

[She pulls the watch back from her face. Before, one could see her face; pulling back now...one could see she's not entirely human, least from the wings curled around her form. They twitch every so often as she speaks, as if trying to make herself comfortable.]

It's going to be an interesting time while you're with us. While we may come from different worlds and different times-and indeed, states of life-we're now comrades in this place. Hence, I'd like to make a few offers-for a fee of course.

[She holds up a hand. They appear to be clawed, but hey-at least they're the length of normal finger nails!]

I happen to live in a mansion and can offer beds and food. Room and board if you will. If new comers, or those who desire someone to make your food, I will be happy to accommodate you. This can be an exchange of monies, goods, or services.

I may also be able to teach skills in cleaning and cooking, including pizza if you so desire. Lastly...

I most certainly can, with any alterations and sizes you may prefer.

Floppy. Something oversized seems like it would be more comfortable, too.

I've been working at Knit Wit since my arrival; it's been helpful in expanding my skills in mending to actual clothing creation.

[Some of the fancier stuff would take longer, but a hoodie...not so much. She makes a quiet noise, considering as she looks him over, slowly.]

Certainly not a hamster...perhaps a kitten? No...maybe a dog. A loyal dog may suit you best, Lancer.

Though you would make an adorable rabbit.

[There's a rustle of paper, and Caren writes it down. Perfect.]

All right. I'll have to visit you some time to get the correct measurements but...one more question.

Would you like a tail on the back of the sweatshirt too? It'd be extra but-I could fill it so it'd be soft to lean against.

Someone we both know has priority on the dog metaphors but the sentiment is welcome.

[He chuckles, tickled but, deep down, flattered too. Not so much by the kitten but he certainly takes pride in his loyalty- and it doesn't hurt that he loves dogs too. A part of him still deeply misses his own greyhounds.]

A rabbit, though...? I'm going to interpret that as a hare.

We do. Though one of them is far more rabid then the other one.

Hare is fine. I was thinking more of the appearance then the personality-you've never struck me as timid. Well. Maybe with me, but that's a reasonable caution.

Really? I'd say they're fairly accurate. [This time he smiles, obviously teasing.] I often feel like a rabbit [bloop there it is] being toyed with by a cat or hawk when I talk with you.

Justine...that is a difficult question. So many colors will suit you.

I think we may have to take some time to narrow down what may suit you for the moment.

Cursed isn't the word I'd use...inapt perhaps?

I wish I could say that I have a favorite color but I like a lot of colors. I wear a lot of white but maybe for this a peach or pink color? Or maybe something to match my dragon friend. I don't know. As you can see, I'm having trouble making up my mind.

I can't just give up!
