As so many people ask questions, advertise, or whatever on this thing I figure I have nothing to lose doing the same.

You see I have a particular problem. A pest problem. I'm looking for creative ways to rid myself of this little bug that seems super intent on sticking around. Normally I wouldn't bother with something like this but my usual methods of getting rid of unwanted things?

Well. It's not working.

Agree to disagree on that front. Since he is me and
I am him it's not so simple as going out and killing him.
If only it WERE that easy. If it would fix the problem then I'd be sorely tempted.
Now his friends? I'd put them down if it was necessary.

I assure you it's likely not as difficult as you imagine. I've been killing since likely longer than you've been alive, than most people could ever be alive.

My teaching days are long behind me, so consider my advice or don't. I'll not be insisting upon it. Good luck in your endeavor.

And just how long might that be?

You stop counting after the first thousand years, but it has to have at least been twice that, given the calendar kept by the humans of my world.

Which implies you are not human, of course.

Do you define humans strictly by their mortality?

I wouldn't. But there are plenty out there that would, stating that it's unnatural.

An unnatural human is still human.

Depends upon what the source of the "unnatural" part is.

The World itself 'granted' me immortality, making me a pseudo-divine spirit after killing one too many of its gods.

Hold up. Immortality was your "reward?" For killing gods?
Or is your use of "granted" closer to sarcasm?

Aye, it was meant with irony.

I know one man that would think of it as a blessing rather than a curse.
He'd probably be thrilled at the idea he could continue on forever.

Mortal folk, particularly men, do tend to have that sort of foolishness in their mind, yes.

And what would you do if you could reverse this "gift" that's been given to you?

To die a proper warrior's death.

Rather, what would you be willing to do to make that a reality?

The power to make such a reality does not exist within this world.

It barely exists within my own.
