H'lo, everyone--
I'd a thought, after this latest stunt the mirrors pulled--the folk who watch the Looking-Glass House, especially that poor fellow who's always dusting the glass--they've been through Maferath's own time with us, haven't they?
[It's really only luck he'd taken a swing at another Mirrorbound and not someone from the Coven when he'd fallen out of his own mirror. It sticks on his mind, even months later.]
What would you say to doing something for them by way of appreciation? It's likely too soon for another party, [like that's ever stopped anyone in Aefenglom, ever,] but gifts might not be out of the question. Or something else tangible, like taking over the watch next time we're due for something in the mirrors.

[He can imagine their distant, shadowed eyes in the midst of a party, the lights and noise just deepening those shadows.]
But thoughtful gifts go a long way to saying thanks! But... What sorts of gifts might they like?

[He gives a small thoughtful hum at that.] I'm still minded to see if we can arrange time off, being as we in the welcome committee are here for new Mirrorbound as it is. Food's usually not amiss, though--or we could ask around among the Coven to see if any of their friends might have ideas...

[It's not like they'd just be giving the Coven member a vacation, after all. Someone that hectic and frazzled seems to have a lot of work on their plate.]
That sounds like a good idea! Let's ask around to see what sorts of things they might like. And if a break from Looking-Glass House tending is one of those things.

[Aziraphale is all for giving back, and even though this place doesn't seem as nice and welcoming as it did when he appeared here, everything they do for them is still worthy of a thanks.]
But I wonder what kind of gift would they appreciate, or another way to show our appreciation. ..

If tangible gifts won't suit, there's the option to spell 'em in their duties--provided the Coven allows. [Thoughtfully,] Now that we've got a--a sort of rough idea of when the mirrors might spit things out, having some of our own there to keep things from being such a mess could be a gift by itself.
But their friends among the Coven might have some ideas, if we found out who those are.

We'd have to make clear that we're doing it to help, to take a load off their shoulders.

[they're a bunch of goddamn weirdoes. it's. it's got to be something.]
I'd certainly be willing to help take a watch. But it couldn't hurt to offer them a gift, either. Something sweet, perhaps?
