Name: Aziraphale
Date: 24/11
Format: video
[The last time Aziraphale made his own post, it was rehearsed. Prepared. He had a plan. He still looked like the neurotic, anxious mess he tends to be but he'd managed to keep most of his nerves at bay. This time, though? This time there's no preparation, no plan, no mission.
This time you just get a fairly frustrated (and slightly angry) angel making a post.]
If you are, perhaps, given a book by mistake, a book that doesn't belong to you-
[Breathe in, breathe out...]
Could you, perhaps, let me know? Apparently some of the books in my bookshop were sent through the mirror, but have ended up scattered around and they were- they are quite delicate. I'd appreciate if they didn't get damaged, they are...
Very important to me.
[Taking care of his bookshop is the closest he's ever felt to having a 'home'.]
Thank you very much.
[OOC: Feel free to assume your character found a book! Aziraphale specialized in first editions, so those are the most likely.]

[Really, he's starting to worry that Aziraphale has a natural talent for finding trouble. Which isn't necessarily a problem when it's books, but the man sounds genuinely upset over them.]
So how exactly did they end up tossed out the window? Did you get into a fight?
video;
Hardly! Though I may change my mind if any more of my books have been damaged. No, my books apparently came through the mirror with objects from everyone else but they seem to have end up scattered around and now it's my job to find them.
video;
What do they look like? Would you know 'em if you saw 'em? What if they ended up with a bunch of other books? It'd be hard to gather up every book in the city to check them.
video;
[A bit of a huff.] And if I must check every book in this place to get them all then that's what I shall do, and gladly so. I cannot let them get damaged just because I was too lazy to look for them, can I?
video;
[Chris understands the determination to find something at all costs, but he's never been the bookish type. Putting that sort of energy toward a book collection is strange to him. But he's also always willing to help, so.]
Is there a way to pick them out from other books? Different covers or... Did you write your name in them or something?
video;
I would never desecrate the books that way! Absolutely not. But I suppose I could talk to the people in charge of the mirrors, perhaps they have kept some sort of list of the books that actually went through the mirror, that would make it easier.
I just wish they hadn't ended up scattered around like this.
video;
I can help you look for them. I guess if people notice anything strange or out of place about them--coming from a different world--they can tell with magic.
[He's assuming that is how magic works.]
I'm sure some people will notice strange books lying around. And I guess we can always try going through all of them.
no subject
[And now he feels guilty that he was so forceful about it. He does care about his books more than he cares about most things, but he doesn't expect everyone else to be as involved with them as he is.]
Though I appreciate you not making fun of me for how important this is to me.
