Hey folks. I just wanted to give the heads up that I'll be conducting lessons in various applications of practical magic throughout the month, starting tomorrow. Everyone is welcome, and no charge, not right now. I'm still experimenting.

Likely the locations will change from day to day, but we'll start by meeting at the local cafe, the Winking Puca, likely head to my place or outside of the wall. Depends on how explosive my lesson is for the day.

Questions, suggestions, comments, drop them here, I'll get back to you.

[This kicks off the start of the log, Practical Magic!]

Oh crap, I could messed it up. I've been out of touch with that modern lingo for so many months. [ Ritsuka, the local memelord isn't here after all ]

Oh, you've got no idea. Ancient, really.

[ This is absolutely true though he is kinda cheating tho. For all his "really 2000 years old" schtick, it's dates only. He's been dead majority of the time, sans the summons ]

My bloodline died by my hand and with me, so I'd rather not. Could bring painful memories.

[ He makes it sound almost casual, but it's true ]

[ 🙏 🙏 🙏 ]

I've got good genes, I don't expect them for at least next 30 years. So you're gonna have to wait a little bit.

I think I could find out more reasons to hang around my bad than just a quest for discovering grey hair.

[ It is a noble quest, regardless ]

Interesting idea. I'm going to be out of the city for a time this month, but when I get back I'd like to join your class.

Out of curiosity: what do you mean by practical magic? Will you focus on universal spells, or is the purpose of this class to share useful knowledge/spells across multiple disciplines?

Cool. I'll send you a message again when I get back re: current location.

Ah, I see what you mean. It's more of a lab/workshop setting vs. a lecture. What gave you the idea to hold these lessons?
unholey: (STARE ☠ and my thoughts couldn't bind)

I'm going to assume, given your confidence in leading a class, you've been here a while. Do you see yourself making a life in the city long-term? Or would you return to your own world, if given the chance? Admittedly, I've only been here for a few months, but the temporal uncertainty makes planning beyond the short term a bit difficult.

Tangent aside, there really is a lot to take in when it comes to magic. I've found that instructors in the Coven assume a certain basic level of knowledge that Mirrorbound just don't have, especially those from worlds where magic doesn't exist. It's woven into the day-to-day in a way that's difficult to quickly synthesize and pass down to outsiders. Such as Monsters and alchemy, or the use of paper spells or physical charms that can be activated by non-Witches.

Sorry. That was another tangent. Anyway. It sounds like it will be an interesting class.
