Do you ever feel like you haven't said enough? I mean, you do what you can and you're pretty sure people get it, but sometimes even when you think the other person is thinking the same thing you are, you never know. And then you'll never know if they knew.
Um, anyway, that's not what I wanted to say. Hi.
If you're just getting in, uh, welcome to the city. There's probably a lot you're getting used to and I just want to say it is totally as weird as it seems. But not as bad as it might seem, so there's that? Everyone is fine, you're fine, and if you are going through changes, we're all here to help. If you need someone to talk to or want to know where to find anything, don't be shy.
And to everyone else, I'm looking for scrap metal. And wire, but you know, I'll take what I can get.

I can't believe he left on his own. Goddamn magic mirrors.
Let's go to one of those bonfires tonight.

I just... I guess I always feel like I think of things I wanted to say when I run out of time. Bad habit. I don't know.
You know Steve. He always has something to face. You can yell at him for it the next time we see him.
...Bonfires? You mean the, er, the celebration ones?
[Smooth, Tony.]

When we see him again, you can tell him everything you feel like you haven't said. Write em down.
I haven't heard about any other bonfires going on, so yeah. We could stand to get out.

[Having Bucky know what he's feeling is still catching him off guard. The overthinker forever trips himself up.]
I... yeah. Yeah, let's go out.

[He still feels Steve's absence, deep down, a persistent ache that he's trying to ignore. Everything else still kind of aches anyway so it's easy right now. If he ignores that he misses Steve, it'll go away, right?]
He'd give us shit if he saw us moping. We should try to have a little fun, you and me.

[He's just pouting.]
Well, if you're asking me out, how can I say no?
no subject
You can't. I just figured I'd give you the option to be nice.
no subject
Yes, sir? I'd salute, but, you know. Magic text.
no subject
Smartass. You know I was never actually enlisted, right?
no subject
You say that like I can't still find a way to dress you in uniform.
no subject
Ha. I'd like to see you try. The eight legs are gonna make it hard to find pants that meet the uniform code.
no subject
Are you questioning my skill here? Because that hurts.
no subject
In this particular case, yes, I think even your skill isn't enough. Dressing spiders isn't something even you have experience with.
no subject
I didn't have experience when I built the armor either. Trust me, it can't be that different. All it takes is practice. I have the time.
no subject
You sure you can't figure something else out to waste your time on? I'm still hoping this isn't permanent.
no subject
I can find other things to do. But you're you no matter what. You know that, right?
