Do you ever feel like you haven't said enough? I mean, you do what you can and you're pretty sure people get it, but sometimes even when you think the other person is thinking the same thing you are, you never know. And then you'll never know if they knew.

Um, anyway, that's not what I wanted to say. Hi.

If you're just getting in, uh, welcome to the city. There's probably a lot you're getting used to and I just want to say it is totally as weird as it seems. But not as bad as it might seem, so there's that? Everyone is fine, you're fine, and if you are going through changes, we're all here to help. If you need someone to talk to or want to know where to find anything, don't be shy.

And to everyone else, I'm looking for scrap metal. And wire, but you know, I'll take what I can get.

I don't really know what goes into building a house, exactly, but if there's scrap metal from the ceiling/floor that I'm knocking out, you could have it. Once I figure out how that's happening.

Well, I'm more used to building than tearing down, but I've been involved in a few situations before. I could lend a hand?

There'd be some building involved. I mean, I want it to look nice, not just like I ripped out a floor and went 'cool, that's normal and fine now'. Eren offered to do a lot of it but we'll need someone to help figure out the best install for the silk hangings.

You could have any scrap from it that you wanted. Or if you're dying for cello recordings of Fleetwood Mac.

( seems unlikely. still, imagine getting to pay someone in fleetwood mac. )

Thanks. It's probably a dumb self-indulgent thing but I think I can probably use 'I got tortured' as an excuse for stuff for a while before no one cares any more.

Great! I'm glad. I'm thrilled for you that it helps, but me agreeing with you that it sounds sort of nice ( it doesn't, she disagrees strongly, ) wouldn't suddenly make it an option, so this is academic and frankly kind of mean. I'm glad you have that. Whatever.

It's your choice. You said it first so it's obviously still upsetting you. I'm just saying that after traumatic incidents like that, sometimes getting an outside voice can help give you an anchor. There's nothing academic about it.
