Good day, everyone.

I'm looking for recommendations on bookstores.

My goal is to extensively study this city's history, and the history of its magic.

There's a Mirrorbound-run bookshop called AZ Fell & Co. Well — it's not quite a bookstore, more like a small eclectic library. But it has very good information, some of which is unique, especially accounts of Dorchact. The proprietor is helpful.

And there are good pastries. [So. You know.]

For as much as she's hearing about it, just as many are hesitant or flat-out unwilling to discuss what happened there.

I appreciate the information, I'll be visiting them soon if their selection is as good as you say.

What exactly do you know about the owner?

[With very good reason. Giorno would talk about it, if only because it remains relevant — but probably not on the network. Nobody really wants to see that on the network without warning, he's pretty sure.]

I don't know him personally. It's a fairly new business, he just opened last month. All I can vouch for is the quality of his business in the time that he's been open.

It does seem like I'll have more time to myself than before. I'm not really sure how to feel about that.

The Coven does offer extensive classes, if you want. But I guess beyond that, have you considered some type of employment?

I'm already looking into that. I'll need to have some kind of income if I'm going to be living here.

Not really?

I mean my only work here is strictly the refugee school and that's not really a paying job.

But you're still able to live comfortably?

I suppose so. It's mostly because of the support of others, who just want me to pursue my astrology work.

It must seem like a welcome change of pace, for you.

Well it's not as if it's an entirely new experience.

If I'm going to live in this city and practice its magic, it only makes sense that I learn the history of both.

All the books I owned where left back in my world, so it looks like I'll have to start a new collection.

out of curiosity, you didn't read while ignoring a perfectly good friend, did you?

I wasn't. I simply had a lot of expectations placed upon me at a very young age. Expectations that I wanted to meet, and exceed.

And to be honest, I didn't really have many friends up until recently.

what was so important?

My studies. I wanted to be the best witch I could possibly be.

I still do.

are you sure you're not-

wait, are you saying that you were a witch before you came here?

[murowa]

That's correct. The magic I studied is different than what I see here, however.

The magic I studied would often require the use of a wand and incantation, but it's not the case here.

I feel that understanding their history is one of the best ways to gain appreciation and respect towards them both.

That makes sense. I was wanting to see if any of the magic here was at all similar to the magic I know back home.

You studied magic as well?

I do. And before I ended up here I had just arrived at a college I was supposed to continue my studies at.

What was the college's name?

[She's curious, really.]

I suppose it only needs to fulfill its function, in that case.

Yeah. And you said 'studied magic as well'; there's also magic in your world?

[murowa]

That's correct. And those that want to study and practice that magic are known as witches, just like what we have here.

[slayvega]

So witches are pretty common then. There are witches and mages where I'm from, as well as alchemists.

[murowa]

It's interesting to me that our backgrounds would be so similar in regards to the existence of magic.

I'd like to be able to speak with you more about this, if you don't mind?

I don't mind. I'm still adjusting to my surroundings so whatever is a good time for you I'm sure it'll be fine for me.
