[When the feed connects there's a moment before anyone can be spotted. All there seems to be is the backdrop of a kitchen and a lone, wooden chair set out. Soon enough Tataru's hopping up onto the chair as if to draw even more attention to herself (and add a few feet to her, uh, short stature). Up her arms go as she waves them about, determined to be seen and heard.]
Attention, attention! After asking many people I've realized that an extremely important Eorzean holiday is unknown here! I thought that perhaps it might be celebrated since Valentione's Day was but apparently not...and I simply can't let that be!
[Is someone passionate about this? Seems that way.]
What sort of holiday could be so important? Why, it's Little Ladies' Day - a celebration of all womenfolk! A day where every lady, regardless of age, race, creed or class is treated like they're the sultana themselves!
[To put it frank, it's an All Women Are Queens day. Who wouldn't think that's a good idea?]
As someone from Ul'dah it's especially special, thanks to the tale of its founding! So, I've decided it's my duty as a Lalafellian lady from Ul'dah to bring it to all the ladies here! It's a day to dress up in your finest garments for a day out, eat tasty treats and best of all be attended to all day by a loyal seneschal.
[If you want something you've got to make it happen yourself, which seems to be the case here with Tataru. What a busybody...does she ever chill out? (The answer is no.)]
I've already been in talks with local establishments who seem willing to participate if celebrations are held later on in the upcoming weeks, but their support won't be enough. It may be a day for ladies, but without dashing men to play their part any organizing I do will be for naught.
So! [She jumps off her chair, disappearing for a moment before the feed is adjusted and she can be seen again, this time far closer.] Won't any men step up to the challenge and help this 'Little Lady' make her efforts successful? I'll be taking volunteers soon!
[And...that seems to be the end of it...only it's not.]
Oh! And if anyone else would like to lend a helping hand in general I certainly wouldn't be opposed to it! There are still a few matters I'm trying to get in order, after all. Music, sweets...there's still much to be accounted for!
[OOC: Little Ladies' Day will be celebrated on the 22nd of March, as an addition to Eostre. Details and a proper sign-up will be posted at a later date on the OOC com for those who wish to sign their characters up for a bit of silly matchmaking/shenanigans to occur.]

text;
[How long have you been here Tataru, and you're already founding a holiday? Are you going to be the next one to collapse in your soup?]
I wish you all the best in your endeavor.
[That does not sound like an offer to help.]
no subject
[Like...a month...and not so fast, Emet-Selch. You're not weaseling your way out of this.]
I expect a man full of charm such as yourself to assist me! After all, wouldn't you want Mira to have the perfect Little Ladies' Day?
no subject
[That is, don't inflict your holidays on other people (namely, him), Tataru.
...responding to this at all had probably been a tactical error on his part. Not that he's going to suggest that he's not charming. But his charm isn't for everyone to appreciate!]
I'm sure Mira is capable of celebrating just fine on her own.
no subject
[Yeah you fucked up. The more you engage with Tataru the more she sinks her claws in.]
You're missing the point! She's never had a Little Ladies' Day! It's a tragedy!
no subject
[The most dangerous Scion indeed....]
Have you even asked if she's interested in taking part, or are you just assuming for her?
no subject
[Yeah, she'll go there. What a dangerous little Lalafell...]
She's agreed to. I've even picked out fabric for an outfit for her.
no subject
[Even in text it's a flat tone.]
And has she...? [Helping, he can well believe. But taking part? And an outfit?] How much coercion was involved?
no subject
None, and I'll be making her a lovely garment.
no subject
'Tis not that I feel anything against your tradition, as unfamiliar as it is to me. I'd question the value of most Eorzean celebrations. Or celebrations in general, perhaps.
[Anything celebrating mortals was worthless, after all.]
Well... I'll hope she enjoys herself and her new outfit then, but I don't see why my presence would have anything to do with it.
no subject
I bet you're a joy at birthday parties, Emet-Selch.
I'm sure she'd love to have the man she was canoodling with on Valentione's Day as her seneschal.
no subject
[Ca... what. He's just going to ignore that part. And sigh at the rest. He can already see how this is going to turn out.]
I hardly mind spending the day with her, but I don't need the trappings of a holiday to do so.
no subject
I expect your participation and cooperation.
no subject
[Not being any less dramatic though.]
Apart from being nice to her or something of the sort, will anything else be required of me?
no subject
You're to be on your best gentlemanly behaviour, dressed nicely, and I expect to see you where the main celebration is to be taking place. You can play the part of a prince for a few bells, surely.
no subject
My best, is it? Well, I'll do what I can. Though to be honest, I expect Mira would find it more strange than charming were I to perform as anything other than myself.
no subject
Yes, your best. I'm sure you can be regal if you want to be...and I said nothing of not being yourself! Just, perhaps a bit more mindful?
