What are your favourite recipes?

I'm not the most adept in the kitchen but I pride myself on being able to provide my household with meals when I can but I'm starting to run low on ideas and serving the same things is tedious for all of us. There are currently three of us but we often have guests too so dishes that serve a greater number of people would suit my needs best.

Ah, and we keep strange hours so all the better if they can be put aside for a few hours. Other than that, I'm willing to try most things. Except wild boar. It's too gamey for my taste.

[yep that's it it's totally because he doesn't like the flavour and not for any other reason]

Diarmuid,

I am unfortunately not an expert on cuisine. My thoughts during my tenure were elsewhere, although I have been introduced to new and delicious recipes during my short stay here.

I was fond of venison, however.

[ Text is definitely easier. And Saber needs to distract herself a little after last week. ]

Diarmuid,

I cannot imagine that hunting would be entirely forbidden. It's something I might enjoy taking up again.

You should know I don't care about what you make -- I'll eat whatever it is.

[ Maybe one day he'll like food. ]

I doubt you can find something I won't eat. If that's what you want to do, then I won't stop you.

I like your cooking, Diarmuid. If it's good, there's no need to feel you have to change it. That's how one ends up with things like fruit salad sandwiches and nonsense like that.

[ Not that they were... bad. But. Why?? ]

Thanks for offering. I can't think of anything specific, though. Much of the food here is already familiar to me. Better than what I ate back home, in all honesty.

Though when we were in Japan, there were some interesting dishes I don't see many of here, such as those triangular rice balls with the different fillings. They had them everywhere at the convenience stores.

I admire your enthusiasm for cooking. If I'm making food for myself, I rarely bother doing much more than putting together a sandwich of frying up some eggs.

Is there anything you particularly enjoy making?

[ Ha. Doesn't like boar. Neither does Felix, for similarly completely normal reasons. ]

Meat pie. Carve yourself any kind of bird and pack it in a pie crust with your choice of vegetables and cheeses, then bake. It's simple, filling, and will help you keep your strength.

I prefer pheasant. Add onion, leek, peas, cabbage and tomato, and season to taste.
The cheese doesn't matter; just use whatever you have on hand. Not my recipe, but one I've eaten enough times to vouch for.

It's interesting that you bring this up, as I find myself often feeding...oh, at least five people. Perhaps more, since I often make care packages for my neighbors.

[Not entirely calling you out Oz.]

But stews, casseroles, paella is always something I enjoy...but if you want variety, I would say pizza is a favored recipe of mine.

Though I would say I also enjoy making seafood stew. This does make me wonder if I should invest in squab raising or goats, since many of us in our household are predators.

Even an awful creature such as myself can have a good side.

I can send you the instructions, or I can show you in person if you'd like. But in short: make the dough, flatten it, spread sauce and toppings of your choice, and place in oven. Cook, and bring out.

You can then cut into slices as large as you please.

Also: you're asking about onigiri, rice balls?

I can make them, but Archer would be better.

It was created after my time, but I'm proud to call it part of my people's legacy.

Soft boiled egg, covered in sausage, battered, and deep fried.

Sukiyaki is my favorite. It's a hot pot dish from Japan and it's incredibly delicious and simple to make. It's also made for large groups although it's usually served during special occasions.

But if you're looking to just get new recipes, I can be of help. I'm a chef, and while it's not my main profession back in my world, I more then enough skill and experience to be considered a professional.
