Hello everyone. And welcome to the newcomers, too. I was looking for people to spar with, if anyone is interested? I'm quite capable in combat, but I feel like I need to practice more.

I'd also be willing to teach those who can't fight. If you'd like to learn to defend yourself a little better, feel free to contact me. This is all strictly without using magic, of course.

[Being a Merrow, he doesn't have much magic to call upon if he needs it unless he's near the water.]

I might be interested in observing, if nothing else. What forms of combat are you trained in?

I wasn’t trained, as such. I was programmed to predict enemy movements and act accordingly. I realise humans won’t be able to do that, however, so I’ll be teaching more basic movements. How to block attacks, mostly.

[This isn’t about teaching people to be aggressive, it’s about teaching people to defend themselves.]

I’d be happy for you to watch, though.

I can see why that would have more utility than simply mastering a single style.

So long as whoever you're working with doesn't mind, I'll make sure to stop by. Even with magic, it seems wise to pick up pointers in physical defense.

You never know in this place... it might not be a good idea to rely too heavily on it. Keep your options open, where you can.

Certainly. What is your weapon of choice?

My primary weapons back home were guns, but those are in short supply here. I can use my fists quite effectively, however. If you have a different weapon in mind, I would learn very quickly.

I am well-trained in martial arts and swordsmanship.

A weapon used to fire bullets or other projectiles at extremely high speeds. I can show you my handgun, if you'd like to study one.

I've never used a sword before. I'd like to learn, if you'd be happy to teach me.

You said you’re capable in combat, but can you go into detail?

Of course. I can analyse minute movements in humans and predict their next attacks, and calculate the best course of action in a split second. I'm fast enough to counter and retaliate in time, too.

What about you?

Impressive. [Well. Impressive on figurative paper, anyhow, but Sephiroth is keen to see it if it's true. It sounds all very analytical, and he wonders at the mind that can process these kind of tasks mid-fight.] I'm military. Trained in close combat and magical, though the latter doesn't apply here any longer.

[One doesn't miss the convenience of materia until it's gone.]
