Anyone on this thing know of an acceptable place to get a change of clothes? And before you offer up sub-par recommendations, I mean, quality clothes. Nothing off brand. And nothing that screams small town American Wal-Mart if you even understand what that means.

( Outlets... he won't be a chooser, as he is a beggar. And outlets at least have brands. Months after a line comes out. But, again. Beggars.

This place has the buildings going for it, why not actual style that matches. A nice suit. Silk shirt. Something?
)

Extra points to anyone who can pronounce or spell any of these bargain basement Game of Thrones knockoff names. Aaeven-whatever.

Oh. And, witches. What do you like about being a witch? Any tips you want to give? Tips I should ignore. What's a do and what's a don't? How regulated are they?

Monsters. Let's talk bonds.

That's certainly a direct approach to bonding.

[Amused tone doesn't really come across in text, does it?]

Tip: give more of a shit about letting someone into your head.

Not sure what you mean by 'off brand', but the only clothes you're going to find is what's sold in the stores around here. You might want to try Precogstitchin if you want something fancy.

[This comes from someone who isn't aware clothes have a brand and whose concept of fancy clothing is probably a little lacking.]

As for being a witch, the best advice I can give is that you take some of the basic introduction courses at the Coven. It'll help you get the hang of using your magic before you attempt to learn spells from any of the different classes of magic.

The courses will also help you find out how to channel your spells. It's different so everyone. Some use vocal spells, other hand gestures, and so on.

If you go to Thread Up and ask for Caren, she's very helpful.

[If she could dress L, she could dress anyone.]

[Wow. This guy sounds like Patrick before he... grew up.]

so you're looking for higher quality. got it. do you have money to spend on it right now? there are always some part time jobs open if you need a way to get the cash.

I understand there's a small ceremony, and that it's a matter of necessity for witches if they wish to avoid troubles with their powers, and for monsters to avoid going feral, to put it all quite simply.

The other points are more personal considerations. Do you find it so hard to trust other people?

how many suits can you wear at one time?

and don't ask me, i don't understand it either. it's something we all need to do.

if you've got people from home here, they might help you out. if not you could try to borrow some money from somewhere. or just work for clothes to start off. natives are pretty flexible in helping us out if it's a fair deal.

i've already got three bonds but i can try to answer questions if you've got them.

Well, I'd say that it's at least very courageous to be so upfront about these things. Surely that's a step in the right direction?

[how bad can it be if he can even say all of that to start with, hah]

it's not. but you probably shouldn't rush it, or choose your bonded carelessly. you could be uncomfortable if you do.

What about bonds do you want to talk?

I'd recommend getting familiar with the kind of fabrics you want and how much they cost per length because the best quality is tailored and if you know your ball-park figures then you can plan your work life accordingly.
