Good afternoon. To introduce myself, I'm Omi Fushimi. I arrived recently. I work here as a photographer.

I have some questions, though they're kind of specific to those who've become Turnskin and/or other Monsters here.

So, first of all, if you're a Turnskin, how severe were the effects on your second full moon? As you can guess, I've only just passed my first.

And second, for those who are Monsters in general, when did you decide on a Bond, or rather, how long were you here before you settled on something?

I realize these are personal. I think hearing about these might help put me at ease, so I'm grateful for even vague answers. I'm sorry to ask questions with little in return, but if anyone who responds is particularly fond of scones, I've just made a large batch.

Senses is mainly what I'm thinking of. But yes. Maybe for a simpler species it's more straightforward. Less to be damaged.

My great-great-grandfather is a rhinelord, which is a kind of Germanic river faerie that various legends would call a nixie or a fossegrim. Wagner's rhinedaughters are based on myths about probably my relatives. Faerie is such that the more you lean into it, the more it leans into you; I was never very human because it's not a bloodline that "dilutes", but I looked more human when I was younger and before I started practising magic on purpose.

( distinct from doing it constantly unconsciously, which she was already doing. )

You never know. Lots of people who've met me at home would say magic isn't real and they've never met a faerie.

I don't think it's ever something people do—at least at that level—of preference. It's not something most people relish, but if that's how you protect your children, then that's what you do.

The dangers at home are less philosophical than that. No one's worried about "disrupting normalcy". They don't want their children dissected and sold for parts.
