Hi. I'm Elliot Craig. It's nice to meet you all, even if the circumstances aren't, well, great?

Anyway, I was wondering a couple things and this seemed like the place to ask.

1. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a violin? If there's a store or a place I could barter for one, that'd be really great. I tried conjuring one, but all I got were recorders. Guess I need more practice.

2. On a related note, is there anywhere I can donate a bunch of recorders?

3. Is there anyone that recognizes the name "Erebonia"? Or "Zemuria"? If you don't, that's okay. I'm just wondering if there's anyone else from my world.

4. And finally, does anyone know how you go about finding someone to make a Bond with? For some reason the townspeople I ask keep acting like it's this really personal thing, but I don't really know anyone here and I definitely don't wanna explode. So what do I do?

Being Bonded means that you're sort of... aware of the other person at all times. When he left, I felt that something was missing-- as if I left my bag behind, or the journal I have on me all the time. It wasn't [He searches for a word.] a painful parting, merely an accidental one. It's my job to watch over him, though. I'll just have to give him an earful when I see him next.

A redhead, huh? That does narrow it down. I have light blue hair and I wear all blue too, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding me... which is something I never thought I'd say, but here we are.

Exactly.

If it could be turned on and off it probably would be more convenient, but this is a weird kind of magic I'm not used to. I'm not sure it could ever be that cut and dry. Still, it's nothing to be afraid of.

There aren't many people with blue hair, no. But all my life I've been invisible to normal humans, so it's a bit of an adjustment.

Yeah, it would be. I know the tech exists back in my world, but I'm far from an orbal-tech genius so I won't be any help in developing something similar.

You...were? Uh, how?

Interesting... So you're familiar with this sort of thing already?

I'm a seraph-- essentially a kind of nature spirit. This place stripped me of my natural magic, though.

Yeah. They're called combat links. You can link up with a partner and it helps you coordinate and keep track of each other in a fight.

Oh wow, cool! Well- not about that last part.

But I never thought I'd get to meet an actual nature spirit! Are you a wind seraph? My friend would be so jealous!

That sounds extremely advantageous in a battle. I'm impressed. I haven't really battle tested Bonds here yet.

Oh. Uh... I'm actually a water seraph. I know a wind seraph though. He's old and weird but he means well. He just refuses to wear a shirt like a normal person.

Yeah. It can really give an edge in a fight.

Haha, oh I see. Well if you're invisible to most people, I could understand not being as bashful.
But water is a really cool element too! That's actually the one I'm best at.

We're not invisible to everybody, including each other. A human seeing a seraph is spooked enough without getting flashed. That said, he really is a free spirit, so you get used to the secondhand embarrassment...

You know water magic? In that case, we should definitely practice together. I've been concentrating on spells that let me shape and control water, so I can show you what I've learned so far.

Aha, you know if I suddenly saw a wind spirit, I'm not sure I'd even notice the shirt or lack of it.
But...yeah, that makes. He's "free like the wind", ahah.

Well, knew water magic, I have to relearn everything. But sure, it'd be really helpful to get notes from you! I'll try to think of everything I've figured out too, so I'm not completely freeloading.

You have a point. No one ever looks at a ghost and yells about how naked it is. Not that we're ghosts, but it's the principle of the matter...

I'm sure you'll be able to show me some insights sooner or later. Even if we both had similar magic before, there's no way it's the same. That's why different approaches matter.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Spirits, ghosts...both things that humans tend to freak out over if we see one.
