The Network: May, An Inauspicious Arrival

The Watches Everyone who arrives in an unorthodox way and eventually shows up at the Coven for 'orientation', will receive a strange, watch-like device compliments of the Coven and Parliament. Miss Nessie or one of the welcome wagon crew will give characters a run-down of how to use the various functions and they are encouraged to test them out for themselves. It would be good for them to get in touch with their fellow Mirrorbound, of course! Fourth wall characters will not be able to make their own posts in the communities, so they may use this post to make "network posts" of their own by top-leveling. The log post is right over here.

[ Jean is blunt because that's just a part of his personality. If he knew Styx was struggling more with typing now because of what he said, he might feel a little bad. ]

I don't know much about magic, but with how widespread it is here, it's probably no different from any other trade. Unless you have natural talent, getting good at something is always gonna take time.

If it means anything, I'm a Witch too, and I know nothing right now.

I didn't even know you could change stations.

I ... suppose? I didn't even go to performances often back home. Free time to just do what we wanted was kind of a luxury.

[although in Styx's case he very rarely understands anything at all - but he's aware that this is because he's stupid, and other people don't have the leisure of everything being equally confusing to them.]

I guess it's not too bad here. It's nice to be away from the crap I have to deal with at home.

[ He's mildly jealous when he hears Styx talk about not having to deal with much, but there's no use getting angry at someone just for having the life he wishes he had.

Plus, this change of pace is already quite nice. He'll remain cautious, but it's nice not having to think about when he's going to have to suit up and go to battle next. ]
