The Network: May, An Inauspicious Arrival

The Watches Everyone who arrives in an unorthodox way and eventually shows up at the Coven for 'orientation', will receive a strange, watch-like device compliments of the Coven and Parliament. Miss Nessie or one of the welcome wagon crew will give characters a run-down of how to use the various functions and they are encouraged to test them out for themselves. It would be good for them to get in touch with their fellow Mirrorbound, of course! Fourth wall characters will not be able to make their own posts in the communities, so they may use this post to make "network posts" of their own by top-leveling. The log post is right over here.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew where to buy farming equipment? And maybe where there might be an open field? Farming is my hobby back home, so I'd like to get something started here.

Most of the shops that sell plants have them. Though some of the plants might attack you... There are some fields in the outskirts but they might not let you out that far if you just arrived.

Wait, did you see the plants attack you!?

Yes...It's hard to miss them. The fruit is shaped like birds, when you get close they swoop at you. And before I arrived here there were larger plants that tried to eat people.

[The bird fruit wasn't that harmful. Not really, more annoying, and messy.]

Hmmm. I haven't done much farming... But I know there's farms. So there must be farm shops.

[Give him a minute, he might remember that there were all those gardening workshops advertised the last couple months, and that they have supplies for sale.]

Most of the fields are outside... And it's dangerous to go alone. You could start with a yard garden, if you have a yard... Are they putting you all up in the barracks??

Yep! So I don't have a yard right now. Although, I could always see if somebody else would let me use their front lawn.

Well, you don't have to ask far. I have a front lawn. And it's not being used for anything! Except digging holes.
