I'm from Oregon, actually. So that's pretty cool, ik like a whole bunch of Americans here now and my buddy's from Cali. p cool we've all managed to find another dimension to congregate in. We should start our own Aefenglom embassy.

Aefenglom's the city we're in rn. Which, actually, I hope you're in? ig I can't tell for sure, but if you're in a city then that's the one. I hear smth like "affen-glohm" being said a lot and yet I can't actually tell if that's correct bc everything's sounds like weird fantasy gaelic? I'm so reliable.

idek, it's such a small universe. Like you'll see a lot of stuff you'll recognize from home (like the watches) and then a dragon'll just walk by. Weird, yes. Creepy, definitely. But kinda cool.

You should hit these two guys named Stiles and Derek up, they're the ones from CA so they'll be able to chuckle richly with you while I eat tree bark or smth.

Derek's a special guy. I think he's capable of it, just that god was like "you can have rugged good looks or the ability to laugh on the outside," and the guy chose the former? That's smart, you're probably not wrong, actually. I'm sure there will be some benefits to knowing the native language. I could probably help with that. I'm actually weirdly good at teaching myself new languages and I know Latin and Archaic Latin already - a lot of languages use Latin as a starting point, so it's worth a shot?

I'm actually probably being a little unfair. In Derek's defense, he's been through A Lot and I probably wouldn't handle most of it any better than he has, so I can't really fault him for being a little surly. I would be, too.

Oh, he's definitely an ass. I just didn't care back then. Plus, he was different with me most when we were alone than he is with pretty much anybody else. Luckily for everyone here, maybe they finally got it right. Between Stiles and I, we have yet to confront a problem we can't solve.

He's not so bad once you get to know him but yeah, I'm willing to concede that he's pretty abrasive, generally speaking. We used to live by super confusing and/or complete insanity so, as much as I'd really have preferred not to end up back in that place, at least I'm still pretty well-versed in it. Guess there's only one way to find out.

...not really, no. We kind of [ came from different worlds entirely, socially speaking ] ran in different circles until a few years ago.

I feel you, though. It gets p wild here, so I just try to keep my head down. Sometimes you can't, but those times are less frequent than the ability to stay outta danger's lane.

I mean, if you flipped it, you'd be pretty close to almost completely accurate, but...I'm not exactly proud of that part of my life, so. I was trying to be gentle.
