The Network: May, An Inauspicious Arrival

The Watches Everyone who arrives in an unorthodox way and eventually shows up at the Coven for 'orientation', will receive a strange, watch-like device compliments of the Coven and Parliament. Miss Nessie or one of the welcome wagon crew will give characters a run-down of how to use the various functions and they are encouraged to test them out for themselves. It would be good for them to get in touch with their fellow Mirrorbound, of course! Fourth wall characters will not be able to make their own posts in the communities, so they may use this post to make "network posts" of their own by top-leveling. The log post is right over here.

[ Should he tell him how much more iron he can get for a similar amount of gold? Of course not, that would be the definition of counter-productive. Time instead to get moving. ]

(stares down at the roof of the building, blasé, then lifts a hand to begin his quick descent. the toes of his flats touch the ground, windblown hair settling down his back.

[ Acquiring iron bars is a simple enough task and one easy enough to achieve on his way towards the Coven itself, no lines to contend with at an armory and no shortage of cheap materials to purchase. Directing Wuxian to the same merchant where he could make the most of the trade on his own would be the honorable thing to do, but even a morally healthy Sasuke is not an honorable man. ]

Uchiha Sasuke. Approaching now.

[ And sure enough he is, dark-cloaked and dour, making short work of his hunt for Wuxian. Luckily a face as comically flat as that one is hard to miss and Sasuke's quick to pick him out, striding up to him without so much as a blink. ]

You. You have the jade?

(in tune with his surroundings and the people within it, it's not difficult to spot sasuke on approach. especially when there's not a single step to betray the path leading directly to wuxian, who stands with his hands clasped loosely behind his back.)

Yeah, that's right. A moment– (fingers come away, dipping beneath his cross-collar to fish for the three pendants.

his sizing was correct, as each will fit neatly in the palm of a hand. beautiful in every sense of the word and carved lovingly with foreign markings, they look quite rich, polished, and up for trade. wuxian's hand extends so that sasuke may examine them himself; they're warm to the touch.)

[ Ah. Larger than expected, and thus better. Wuxian is already showcasing the items oh-so-readily which causes him to immediately question his motives... but it's too little too late. He's already here in person and now that he is he can't justify leaving empty-handed. The cloth bag he's brought with him, rough and tied with twine, is placed down on the ground between them with a telltale clank serving as his answer. Inside he'll find several solid iron bars, ready for the taking.

Hand freed up he reaches now for that jade, hesitating at the warmth as he turns one pendant over in his fingers. ]
