The Network: May, An Inauspicious Arrival

The Watches Everyone who arrives in an unorthodox way and eventually shows up at the Coven for 'orientation', will receive a strange, watch-like device compliments of the Coven and Parliament. Miss Nessie or one of the welcome wagon crew will give characters a run-down of how to use the various functions and they are encouraged to test them out for themselves. It would be good for them to get in touch with their fellow Mirrorbound, of course! Fourth wall characters will not be able to make their own posts in the communities, so they may use this post to make "network posts" of their own by top-leveling. The log post is right over here.

MAYBE A COBBLER...
OR A COMBLER SMITH AND SEAMSTRESS.
BUT... I'M SORRY! I DON'T KNOW WHERE THE SHOP IS.
OR IF IT'S A SHOP.
I JUST KNOW, I'VE SEEN MONSTERS IN NARROW BOOTS. SO NARROW, THEY HAD TO HAVE HOOVES.
MOSTLY ON THE WEST SIDE OF TOWN.

The fact that it is possible to hide hooves is enough. It does not matter that you are not certain which shop it is. I will look between a seamstress or cobbler. One will give me what I need.

So long as it covers the noise of the hooves.

I'M COMPLETELY SURE IT COVERS THE SIGHT OF THE HOOVES.
THE SOUND... I FORGET.
HARD SHOES AND HOOVES CLACK ON COBBLESTONES ABOUT THE SAME, I THINK.

Hooves and hard shoes have different tones. I imagine that hard shoes will be less jarring than the sound of hooves coming from me. Anything would be better than this.

How is it that such changes can be made to us? What caused this? Magic?
