Any Witches still awake that knows healing? I uh... got a problem. Mine isn't really that strong yet and um... [God, he didn't really want to say this because Yu can hear him and his partner was already feeling so bad.] Look, my arm got kinda mauled by accident and I'd rather not go to the hospital so...

I mean, I'll go if no one's awake, I can't really wait too long but, y'know.

Yosuke was still a bit pale, magic doesn't exactly replenish lost blood but at least the bleeding stopped. He found a clean part of the towel and placed it back on his arm. He had fresh bandages in his room. He gave a tentative touch to his cheek, wincing when it stung but it wasn't bleeding freely either. He sighed.]

Don't worry about it, this is more than enough. Not gonna be my first scar anyway.

[He slouched, holding his arm tighter.]

Does it... when they finish changing, does it get easier?

[He pulls back a little, sitting on the ground still next to him. He still feels a little bad about not healing him all the way, but he keeps it to himself. Just another thing to work on.

Right now, Yosuke's heart and minded needed more tending to]

It does. [He says it truthfully] I mean, I wouldn't say full moons ever become pleasant exactly, but it gets easier as you guys start to know what to expect and monsters get a better handle on the instincts.

I take it you two are close?

[He nodded. That made sense. The changing stops so they have a chance to get used to things, which is exactly what Yu was unable to do right now.]

Yeah, we are. I mean, it's only been a year and a half but he's been the best friend I've ever had. He's my partner and--

[And Yu liked him in that way. Which meant partners took on a whole new meaning now, didn't it? Yosuke hadn't said anything yet, he kind of figured Yu didn't realize he heard his thoughts. And that Yu couldn't read his.

He had no idea what to do with that information. A part of him wanted to do the normal freak out, "no homo" and all that. But he was too tired and upset for it. It went beyond just finding out that Yu was gay. He liked Yosuke and honestly? The first thought that came to mind thinking about that is "Why?" and that's what stopped him from having a proper freak out.

It said a whole lot more about him that he was more concerned why Yu would like someone like him than about his friend being gay. God, this was such a mess.]

And I'm not sure what to do anymore. Everything went so fast.

[Elliot isn't privy to Yosuke's thoughts or what happened before, but he can pick up on some notes here and there. It sounded a lot like his own friendship with Rean, the quick growing trust and companionship, and the fretting. ]

Hey...it'll be okay. You guys are both worked up right now so it might not seem like it, but a friendship like that is strong enough to get through something like this. Especially since you know it was an accident. Might take some awkward conversations, but you'll get through it.

You just...have to make sure it gets through his head that it was an accident. If he's anything like my best friend, he'll find any excuse to blame himself.

Like a lot of awkward conversations... [He muttered, but it wasn't like Elliot was wrong. He wanted to rub his face but he was just gonna hurt himself in the process.] He's already doing it. Don't need to read his mind to feel that.

[Which led him to his next question.]

Have you... ever encountered someone who can read the thoughts of their Bonded but not the other way around? I uh... kinda accidentally read Yu's mind but he doesn't know I did. And I don't think he can read my mind either.

Hm?

[He tilts his head curiously.]

Well...it can happen sometimes, especially if someone doesn't know how to keep their thoughts and feelings from projecting to their Bonded.

Why? Did he think something unusual?

Yeah... he did.

[He wasn't sure how to describe it. He took a moment to formulate his answer.]

There were two voices. Like, two of him? One that sounded a lot more like him and another that seemed... it didn't speak in full sentences, it felt more instinctual? I don't know how to word this, sorry.

[Maybe it was Yu's shadow, but it didn't sound like a shadow.]

Two voices?

[He raises an eyebrow. That was a little odd, but he bites his lip as he tries to think about it. He knows he feels his bonds monster instincts as a pull sometimes]

Huh...maybe it was his monster instincts? Normally with my bonds, it's just general feelings and impulses rather than actual words, but I guess for some it could present itself that way.

Of course Yu would get the crazier end of the stick, jeez.

[This was a lot to deal with. He was suddenly just... so tired. It was the middle of the night too, which didn't help matters. It was just one thing after another.]

Wait, bonds? You have more than one? [One thing at a time, Yosuke.] You know what, nevermind. I should... probably get cleaned up and let you go. You don't need to sit here with me. But um, thank you, again, for coming out and helping me.

[Well he was about to answer, but-]

Ah, right. I don't mind being here and answering questions, but you could probably use some rest.

[He moves to get up, offering a hand to help Yosuke up.]

Feeling okay to move?

[Yosuke did want answers but he was realizing that now probably wasn't the best time. He really didn't feel that well now that the adrenaline well and truly wore off. He took the offered hand, pulling himself to his feet. He was a bit unsteady and things started to spin, but he righted himself soon enough.]

I'll ask more in the morning, promise.

[He offered a shaky smile, before grimacing as he took a proper look at himself.]

And after a shower.

[He watches Yosuke get up, trying to see if he'll be able to stand on his feet or not. He seems a little unsteady, but he's able to right himself. Hopefully...some rest will fix that up]

Aha...right.

Just, take it slow and easy okay? And if you need anything, feel free to message me. I usually stay up pretty late.

[Another question to try and remember to ask. Who stays up past midnight, man? Sleep was wonderful! But all he does is nod tiredly.]

I... think I'll need some more answers anyway so I'll leave you a message if I catch you when you finally get some sleep too.

[Weird music nerds, that's who man. Elliot will give a little nod]
