[ There's a lot he could yell at Gilgamesh about, especially with how much pain he's in right now, but he doesn't. Berserker doesn't act on it, if only because it's more satisfying to know that will probably make Gilgamesh more frustrated -- that and he doesn't want to give him anything else to use against him. ]

Companionship does not mean ownership. If you could pull your head out of your ass, you'd know that...but you'll die friendless and alone, never understanding why.

[ it does irritate Gilgamesh, mostly in the sense that he finds this Cu to be a thoroughgoing wet blanket.

at least that spark of aggression had momentarily excited the King. for a man who thrills in danger, Gilgamesh thinks he might enjoy seeing what violence this great beast of a man is capable of. in his own relatively weaker state, Gilgamesh's life could well be at risk should they ever come to blows, and the thought ignites a feeling of visceral excitement in him.

dull, safe existences are for peasant stock, after all.

perhaps at a later time, he might enjoy seeing fire in those eyes again. for now, it would seem Cu is determined to be depressed. such sadness is acceptable and even desirable on a beautiful, golden-haired, noble maiden with exquisitely lickable tears, but on this man, its taste cannot be savored. if Saber's great longing and sadness is an exquisite feast, this Cu's is something like stale bread. the hunger simply fades upon nearness to its proximity. ]

How disappointing.
