[ It's midday out in the Wilds, a turnskin woman setting down her device to record on a nearby surface before stepping back and sitting herself against a stone, a blood red spear rested against her shoulder, and face partially obscured by a mask. The darkness of her fur and clothes mixes with the stark shade of the canopy overhead, making it a little difficult to see her aside from the bit of face that's visible.
She speaks in a calm tone. ]
I've seen quite a few of the new visitors and seen there are quite a few among you that adept and strong. As well as folks who've been here some time already who could use something besides Shades to fight.
I propose, before all of this gets corrected, we have ourselves a bit of a bedlam, to enjoy ourselves as warriors and treat ourselves to some friendly fights and whiskey to share.
I don't doubt there's a lot of you that have had the same itch I've had. Particularly with the last moon phase being as it was.
Well, what say you, then? Shall we have a warrior's festival, before the month's end?

Ah, I am the lucky one to have her, I say. A warrior is not worth much if they lack any reason to fight, and she has given me someone worth fighting for.

Tell me more! Did she come here with you? Is she a witch or a monster? [and most important of all:] Has she ever tried to give you chickens?

We are bonded, nothing more than that, lad. She a witch, and myself a beast, nor do we come from the same world.
[ As obvious as her affection for Zelda could be in her words, she spoke the truth. She had made no presumptions of anything more between them... that was Zelda's bridge to cross, not one for Scathach to pull her along, as far as she was concerned. ]

[watch, as it dawns on him for the first time that lan wangji did indeed try to give him a dowry...]
Oh! Well, still just as lucky. A lot of people seem to be reluctant to even take a bond, much less find one that they're so happy with.

With one exception.

Or rather, I thought they were for someone else.

Something like that, then. Happens more than you think. The Bond, at the very least, can eliminate misunderstandings like that fairly easily, I think. [ Or not. She was, after all, not aware of just how strong Zelda's feelings for her were, even if she knew they existed. ]
