There is now an animal shelter operating within the city. We are accepting donations and volunteers. If you find an injured or homeless animal, you can bring it here.

[Attached is a picture of the shelter with the sign just out of frame. There are dogs, cats, rats, and some native species. Hector's also listed the address of the building, but not the name. Because it's awful. Blame Everett.]

Umm, try observing their behaviors for a few minutes before you go to grab them?

[This is not a problem Hector's had yet, at least that he knows of.]

I would think a shapeshifter would move differently than a real animal. But in either case, if you find something hurt, it's best to try to help it, right?

The first time they didn't give any indication...I only know now because of their scent. [As in she'd see them after she'd snuggled their animal form for most of the night. He got a tired sigh over the watch.]

It is...But this person acted like a normal animal and clung to me.

Well, then they must not have minded too much, otherwise they would've done something to let you know.

If they are actively trying to fool you into thinking they are the animal they look like, I don't know how much I can help.

That's annoying...[HUFF. How can she cuddle the cuties if they could turn into someone's middle-aged dad at any point?]

What if you get someone whose just trying to get free food by pretending to be an animal?

I don't know. Maybe have a show of force next time a shapeshifter fools you, as a deterrent. [What could go wrong?]
