There is now an animal shelter operating within the city. We are accepting donations and volunteers. If you find an injured or homeless animal, you can bring it here.

[Attached is a picture of the shelter with the sign just out of frame. There are dogs, cats, rats, and some native species. Hector's also listed the address of the building, but not the name. Because it's awful. Blame Everett.]

they are, aren't they? yes, some of them are pretty young, though none of them are so little they couldn't be adopted.

There's so many cute ones... I wouldn't know which to pick! If I was going to adopt, I mean! I don't think I can right now. Maybe if I talk to my girlfriend about it, someday...

Do you let people come just to visit? They must get lonely sometimes...

yes, we have volunteers who stop by to take some of our animals on walks or play with them to help exercise them. it can also help you get to know the animals better to see if you are a good match.

[Because Hector will not allow you to adopt if he isn't certain you will be good to the pet in question. So far all of the Mirrorbound who have been interested have been decently trustworthy.]

I'd love to come see them sometime! Especially the little ones, they must need lots of extra care!

[She's so charmed by these animals. If someone who knew her better saw this, they might wonder about how unusually perky she is, just over thinking about spending time with all these cute little friends. Maybe she's just expressing her inner feelings more than usual...?]

I still don't really know much about the native animals, though. Are they a lot of trouble to look after?

The babies are not so difficult. They are hardy little creatures. They do tend to have an abundance of energy, though.

[And Hector won't be putting the ones that are sick or in need of more care out for volunteers to assist with.]

The natives here are ones that are more suited for domestication. The truly wild ones will only be in the clinic, not where volunteers can interact with them.

Right... I guess I never thought of this place having different kinds of pets as well as wild animals.

Do you have certain visiting hours? Or volunteering hours?

Right now, it whatever type of animals I've found that didn't have proper shelter.

[And uh, he should probably figure out operating hours, huh?]

Right now, it's whenever I am there. Once I get volunteers, I can offer more regular hours. I'll have to have day and nighttime hours, so vampires aren't precluded from adoption or volunteering.

Are afternoons usually okay? I'm usually on my way home anyway, so if it's a good time to visit... I could stop by someday soon...

Oh, and I could ask my girlfriend if she wants to help out too!
