There is now an animal shelter operating within the city. We are accepting donations and volunteers. If you find an injured or homeless animal, you can bring it here.

[Attached is a picture of the shelter with the sign just out of frame. There are dogs, cats, rats, and some native species. Hector's also listed the address of the building, but not the name. Because it's awful. Blame Everett.]

How considerate of you. Is the purpose mostly to just care for them until they no longer need it? Or is it more long-term housing?

for truly wild creatures, they'll only be here when they need medical attention. for the others, it depends. I'm beginning to be able to commune with them, so I should be able to determine how long they wish to stay and if they want to seek out a mirrorbound to adopt them.

There's some magic that can help, but I don't think it's quite the same as stuff that monsters can do. Though even without being able to fully commune, the body language should be more than enough. Even a more subtle animal usually has a tell.
